I have many (very reasonable..... highly..... ABUNDANTLY..... intelligent) cousins....all Democrats (they'll eventually come around but....even if they don't)..certain that if Trump is elected....the world will end as we know it. I on the other hand (as they know) don't care (at all) who gets elected....because.....my issues are and remain with the Electoral College and.....how....your/my vote means.....essentially....less than zero.
I also know that the system, contrary to my issues with the above, has worked relatively (not flawlessly) well all these previous 240 years....and it all (always).....always......works out.
Somehow.....(isn't that how we ended up with the ACA? A flawed system but....one that got people without insurance...WITH insurance?....Truly...a beautiful thing but....flawed nonetheless).
Nothing in life is perfect.....and I'm okay with the progression towards...."better".
(I'd say that, as flawed as society is today.....it's a whoooole lot better than it was in 1793, a smidge better than in 1886 and....a BUNCH better than in 1933).
So many were certain when Reagan was elected ("my gawwwwd....an ACTOR!!!!!")....it was "all over"....(it wasn't...then....when we owed 900 billion...and when he left....owed 3.6 trillion), they were certain it was "saved" when Obama was elected.....(8.3 trillion negative vs negative 20 now)....(I voted for Anderson....who wanted to pay off the debt :) )
BOTH parties are HORRIFIC!
Clinton is....at best...(I won't go there)....questionable. DJT is....at best.....unskilled.
Woodrow Wilson was hand picked....THROWN in to the electorate....not a career politician....a college President....barely....and yet...his reign over the American economy was one of the best.....in American....economic....history.
The system works and....when Gore did not become "MY" Prez....I was done. Voting.
However.....
I agreed to what I THOUGHT was the deal.....(you vote...one guy wins....my guy didn't....and I was fine with that...the other guy SHOULD have been the Prez....he WON!!!!.....and....I was okay with that...I was FINE with Gore being THE Prez.....MY Prez....your Prez......OUR Prez).
I've always said...."the day after it's done....THE President is MY President". I've never understood these folks who spend (decades) debating (whoever wasn't their guy).
Whoever wins....is THE Prez!!!!
Rush Limbaugh (dumbass....let's be EXTREMELY clear....no INTELLIGENT Republican.....thinks that Rush Limbaugh came from two humans actually getting together for sex....truly....no one thinks that! Really) comes to mind and.....every single other dumbass Democrat radio personality that springs forward to explain why Republicans suck.....also comes to mind so.....
Can we all agree.....FOR at least the NEXT 10 years.....WHOEVER BECOMES THE PREZ ON 11/09.....WE SUPPORT BECAUSE.....THEY'RE THE PREZ.
Let's get some shit done!

Whoever is the Prez on November 9 is.....MY Prez.
I hope he (or she) is also YOUR Prez.
