The Democrat party needs to be destroyed and rebuilt from the ground up with the socialist leftist influence eliminated from the equation.

The opposite will happen.

I don't think so. They failed. And they didn't fail because Clinton was a right-wing Democrat, but because she represented the worst aspects of Leftist politics. Thought control, minority pandering and feminist nonsense.

All in all, the proof is clear in the last 8 years, obsmas legacy is a divided government and divided country. That says a lot about his leadership skills. He doesnt have them. He does know how to motivationally speak but no follow through.

Honestly i think that is exactly what he wanted.

What steps should Trump take to unite the country?

How obligated is Trump to follow the GOP playbook and wish list?

Trump won, so he must make moves to appease the Democrats, How ever if Hillary had won the Republicans would have to accept it and follow her lead.

You really need to get over this permanent pout.

You're unhappy no matter what.

See a professional.

I think that is what you personally find annoying about her, but the fact that the rust belt is where she really lost shows that it's almost certainly the economy. She represented the globalists who had shipped their jobs to China, and Trump represented the guy who was willing to declare war on the globalists and end them forever.

The next candidate will be Bernie 2 or someone even more socialist.

... because it worked out so well for Bernie.

No, but he and the Warren wing of the party will be far more influential.

A Trump win is exactly what Bernie needed.
Everyone is saying that he would have won.

Not gonna happen.

Do you think he even wants it to happen?

There's no way the Dems will run another establishment candidate.
Even if Trump is as much of a nightmare as everyone thinks... voters won't go crawling back to the globalist NWO conspiracy people.

I'm pretty sure that ship has sailed.

Sure they will. Reps and Dems both have proven historically they are slow learners.

Actually it did work out pretty well for him. He went from basic unknown nobody to a major voice in Democratic/left of centre politics in the US. He went from 3% support to 43% support.

I think you underestimate just how badly they want to get rid of Trump.
Of course, this also assumes that the US will still exist in 4 years.

Musicmystery -> RE: How Can Trump Unite the Country? (11/11/2016 8:21:29 AM)

I think you're just making stuff up.

Elizabeth Warren is very popular, in a Bernie Sanders kind of way, without the socialism. And she's powerful in the Senate.

Lots of time for surprises. But she's a rising star in the Dem party.

If the state is placing its own interests above those of the people or any segment of the population, then it is enforcing a hierarchy.

Incorrect.

Even if the state is imposing egalitarianism on a society resistant to it by force (dictatorship of the proletariat), it is only imposing that hierarchy insofar as it serves a goal that is antithetical to hierarchy... which is quite unlike fascism, in which hierarchy is the political endgame. This is merely a superficial resemblance as the two are still fundamentally opposed.

But then, I don't know what you're talking about because a single word isn't an argument so much as a dismissal.

would have worked out well for him, had he not run in the dem party, he is not a dem.

Of course I'm making stuff up... I don't literally know the future. :P

Warren is fantastic but I'm honestly not sure that she can connect with the seething rage and cynicism that Trump tapped into because however downright lovable she is, she's still Ivy League. But 4 years of Trump could definitely be enough to leave people desperately wanting their intelligence back.

Musicmystery -> RE: How Can Trump Unite the Country? (11/11/2016 8:38:09 AM)

...though he'd have had to get 270 EC votes in a race against both Clinton and Trump -- and there are those who just wanted a vagina in the White House bottom line.

mnottertail -> RE: How Can Trump Unite the Country? (11/11/2016 8:42:43 AM)

agreed on all points. but you wouldnt have had the puke turnout like 2004 that we had... and he would have taken many Hillary and Trump votes.

There wouldnt have been many if any faithless electors machine as they are or not, don't you think?

Musicmystery -> RE: How Can Trump Unite the Country? (11/11/2016 8:48:08 AM)

I do think he was the strongest/best candidate and could have won as an Independent.

I can also understand why he went for the Dem nomination instead.
