Happy Holidays to one and all!
We are doing kinda okay. I am to have some minor surgery to be done on the 13th on a hemangioma that has been changing colors on me. Most times, these things are those ugly red blood splotches that can come up on babies but adults can get them too as they age and the skin gets thin while the blood vessels rise up to the surface.
Right now I am pissed at Medicare Part B. They don't want to cover my test strips for my prediabetes because they don't consider it a disease. Excuse me...if I have HIV, I know they would cover for treatments before it becomes full blown AIDS. Maintaining the levels of my blood sugar requires frequent testing, not just a poke once or twice a day. I am on disability and living below poverty level. You bet I am getting some politicians involved in this.
Mpm is doing okay heart wise. The Lasix is pulling the edema off of her heart and our PCP has finally DXed her with asthma. She is going to have to use 2 inhalers for basically the rest of her life.
Crochet-wise, still putting final touches to Christmas presents. I got the yarn for my next fair project in the other day (while I was napping, Mom was busy getting packages in from several family members to be wrapped here when they come in for the holidays).
My S-I-L is no longer working for the USPS office that was treating her like shit. She started a new job as a financial person at a loan company at full time. She is worn out but happy (the Post Office had an asbestos problem in the area she would work in and did not take care of it properly, exposing her to potential problems down the road).
