Status: offline 		Not being a USian I'm likely missing some important info about this whole 'slavery' and 'reparations' schtick despite our media pretty much just regurgitating the same bullshit the rest of you get force fed.

So, could someone grownup and knowledgeable about such things bring me up to speed on how much effort have the black African American negro people of colour put into sorting this shit out with the Arabs and Black Africans who enslaved them in the first place on the west coast of Africa?

And how many have opted to be repatriated to what is now Liberia - set up on the west coast of Africa, from whence the slaves were enslaved, specifically to be a home for freed slaves, including the 16% who were traded to USia?

It seems to me that freed slaves & or prisoners in general would want, first and foremost to go home. Why aren't they exercising that option?

And why is it only the descendants of the 16% in USia who are kicking up this big shit storm about it?

It has often seemed to me that you would be happier in a mental hospital, but if you think my post was defending the concept of reparations, paid or unpaid in any amount, you belong in a fucking circus.

It's amazing how white men get slammed more than anyone and yet have contributed more than anyone.


Defending white men (it's a losing debate among apologists) is like asking why there aren't any white only colleges (which, for the record....with one or two exceptions....there have never been) or why there isn't a NAOWP (and no....the KKK doesn't count because they're assholes), why there aren't "men only" exercise facilities....but....women have every right to come in to a men's facility....(by law....in fact...it's discriminatory by federal law to disallow them access)....and yet....it was.....white males (the largest voting block in the early 60's) that established the FIRST civil rights act.....it was a Republican (God save us) that signed the ADA in to law in 1990 (and a Republican Congress)....and then....in the early 2000's....it was the VERY people (Jackson, among others) who explained to all of us that...."These laws are the white man's way of keeping his thumb on black men".

Interestingly....it was white males and females (the largest single voting block in 2008) that put Obama in office.....by an absolute ASTOUNDING....and overwhelming.....TOPPLING mandate....and yet.....

White males are (still) the assholes.

Interestingly.....white males only made up 41% of the popular vote that elected Trump.

Hmmmm.....
