The issue with tampon tax wasnt the point of my posting, but he cannot argue with my point.

I did. Where did you prove me wrong again? So you are saying you shouldn't get taxed because you have a vagina? Did it ever occur to you you're a self important chauvinist?

I stated it immediately after that sentence with....

His(your) ignorance regarding basic female anatomy and bodily functions is.

oh and then I said....

Ive paid taxes on my tampons and pads since I was 16, almost 40 years....Im not gonna get a refund, and Im in menopause right now, so the tax issue is dead to me. Except it IS a necessity (not a luxury good) for half the population.

So no, you are putting words in my mouth and lying as well.
I will happily point out that you ignored the rest of the post because you are fucking clueless.

Question-in Australia, are taxes paid on necessities, or only on 'luxury' goods? To be fair to rm, I would ask that first.

In lots of places, taxes are levied on everything, not just necessities. He may or may not be aware of this.

Other places, groceries are not subject to tax.

Where I live, the only thing I buy on a regular basis that I don't pay taxes on is prescriptions.

there are so many things rm is obviously unaware of.
The one thing that was touched on the previous pages is certain differences if males and females.

The other thing is that phenomenon called "manners."

There are good manners and bad manners.

Bad manners get sometimes socially sanctioned. And rm firmly believes if any male gets sanctioned for bad manners it happens because he is male. But no: it is because he is a bully.

An attempted bully. This guy is far too squeamish to be a practicing bully. But he is, as you say, quite ill-mannered, and considers rejection of his lack of basic social skills as some gender jihad against him.

In any case, apropos of nothing, I recall meine deutsche Lehrerin who was from Bosnia but moved to Germany at age 5, then to the USA at age 15, relating her story about inappropriately or in any case mis-translating the word schön when she was talking with her new friends and said "Oh, look at that guy, he is so pretty." Her friends laughed and said "You don't call a guy 'pretty,' he's cute or handsome or good looking, but you don't call him pretty."

Her re-creation of the look of perplexity on the face of a 15 year-old caught in a social faux pas was priceless.

Lucy

Well if it isn't such a big deal to you, why even bring it up? Tampon tax is very petty. This would even be more petty than manspreading. It's unbelievable how women can come up with the pettiest complaints imaginable and it all gets given a pass. A man can complain about something not so petty like the punishment gap in the justice system and its still considered as a whining and pathetic.

Edwird

Think about this. You see when a male has anti feminist/anti gynocentric opinions in regards of discussion about gender, it's considered anti social. But the other way around, meaning gynocentric gender discussion, its all the sudden not anti social.

Also think about this, we can see plenty of feminists who are socially accepted. Ones who are praised in mainstream media etc. Yet not one MRA would ever have that status. Being an MRA would ruin that status. Not being a feminist though.

So yes, there is a very heavy bias against men. Women are very heavily favoured. How dare a male speak the truth. Gotta larf.

So speaking of being ill mannered or anti social. As long as feminists get given a pass for acting the same, I can fucking do it too in support of men.

If you don't want men acting this way, to be a fair and level headed person, you have to apply the same standard towards women/feminism.

If you live in a place where necessities are not taxed, then no, taxing items like these is sexist, and it is not petty. That's money that women are being made to pay that is no more a luxury than milk and bread are. Lumping it in with luxury items is basically government recognition that an issue that every woman on this earth has to deal with at some point in their lives, for many years during their lives, is insignificant and not worth the same consideration as say, headache medicine.

Wayward, look up gst tax in Australia.

Edwird -> RE: Manthreading, mansplaining, manflu - man I'm sick of this misandrist nonsense (12/24/2016 12:25:02 PM)

Let me guess; gas tax in Australia is only charged to men, but not women, right?

LMAO no, you still dont get it, the fucking moron claims that women can hold their period blood like going to the toilet.
The guy thinks that womens blood issues are unacceptable in society
That is the level of your ignorance as you keep complaining about money. and rights and ignoring the mentality of his "beliefs"
When you dont understand functioning womens bodies, you are a twat.

PS Wayward.
Oz has a ten % tax on pads and tampons.
'Tampon tax': Australia decides not remove controversial levy. Australia's states and territories have decided not to remove an unpopular tax on female sanitary products. Unlike products such as condoms and sunscreen, sanitary products attract the 10% goods and services tax (GST) because they are deemed non-essentials.
The list of GST-exempt items includes condoms, lubricant, and nicotine patches sunscreen, ChapStick, anti-dandruff shampoo, Rogaine, and, yes, sometimes even Viagra..

PS tampon tax was removed in Canada last year, ....
