Happy New Year!! As 2016 departs (good riddance!), we embark onto a new year with hopes, dreams and a little kink on the side. I discovered my girly side again, delighting in nail polish. Being forbidden as a teenager by my father because it would made me look slutty (HEY!!! It made me stop biting my nail, Pops!), I decided since he is gone now to indulge myself. Its making me take better care of my nails and maybe once in a while get a manicure or two when I can afford it. My nieces do love the colors I have selected and I am moving to gels in the next month or 2 (more enduring). Christmas was crowded...the only member of the family that did not show up was my oldest nephew and he was in debriefing from a job overseas. 3 days later, damn boy goes and buys a Jaguar!!!! His new job is going to be in Virginia Beach and at least he will be closer to his fiancee. I got candy, shoes, socks, coloring books, pencils and markers for presents but the top prize was the complete Firefly companion book series (all 3 books into one leatherbound book). I am refusing to take the wrapper off of it to keep it clean. Crocheting, I am relearning one stitch and learning a new one for the fair project. My brother who works in Mongolia got me 2 colors of yak hair yarn (its actually quite soft) and I can make a shawl out of it. I just ordered wool from Turkey for another project so I am going to be quite busy (therapy work). My uncles and 2nd cousin loved their afghans and I got a cousin wanting me to do the Arkansas Razorback "flag" as an afghan. This is going to take some work, finding the right shade of garnet red. Mom...well, her back is giving her fits. She overdid it cooking Christmas dinner (on her feet all day). She is scheduled to see a pain specialist to see what do to since the regular guy wants to keep doing either injections or burnings and frankly that ain't helping. I probably need to see the new guy myself but I have to see the shoulder specialist first about the OA in my left shoulder (probably needs a shot again). Here's to hoping I quit thinking about some people and having them drop dead. Others, I want them to die so bad because they are evil incarnate...

Happy New Year, folks! OK, some folks aren't going to appreciate this post much. I really do know that a lot of people have been struggling with some serious stuff this holiday season. MP, Engie, and myself have been thinking of many of you. We hope our positive thoughts and prayers help in some small way. With that said, I am now going to be an asshole and bitch about my first world problems. [8D] (Gratuitous cursing may occur.) Does anybody else feel like they haven't sat down for more than fifteen minutes since Thanksgiving? Jesus F^cking Christ! I swear, I think this is the longest amount of time that I've sat in a chair at home in weeks. Why, yes, it does feel good, thank you very much. The holiday was wonderful but if I had to keep up this pace all year long, I don't know what I'd do. I might need a vacation. [;)] Seriously, I'm tired. I am not tired, however, due to the insomnia thing. Believe it or not, folks, I'm sleeping at night! [sm=yahoo.gif] I know that doesn't sound like a huge deal to non-insomniac type folks, but to me, it's a huge deal. I'm more well rested than I've been in YEARS! It's amazing! Shahar, go gel. I honestly love that stuff! Even if you are just doing your nails at home, it's totally worth it. The stuff never chips, wears well, and takes sixty seconds to dry. Try it one time and you'll never go back to the old stuff. .) Speaking of salons and those things 'girly,' the hectic of the holidays and all of that sh^t, guess where I will be tomorrow? I will be the whole day at the spa! For Christmas, MP went and bought me the most expensive and luxurious package the place has to offer. He'd already laid out a thousand bucks for my new pair of earrings. (They are breath-taking. Wish I knew how to post pics.) I thought that was my 'big' gift this year. I was wrong. Somehow, during the month of December, MP found the time to research the salons in the city. I don't know how he did it. Everybody but me knew. My boss knew. Lady across the street knew. Dang family and friends... They all knew. They kept that dang secret better than where Jimmy Hoffa was buried. I'm an exceptionally lucky woman.

I am looking forward to 2017. The last 6 months of 2016 I did a lot of travel and long work hours. I was on the road all of August, half of September, all of October, half of November and half of December. I hope I can get a better handle on that this year but work is work. On the bright side of 2016 I did get to attend two large BDSM events. The German Fetish Ball in May and Fetish Factory's holiday party. There are not a lot of parties that are heavy for rubberist, but these two are at least 50% rubberist in attendance. Each party was a great time and wonderful time for me to de-stress. And I got to spend some quality time with my former Domme in Dusseldorf. 2016 was the year I decided to become much more health conscious. Multiple surgeries over the years has slowed down my ability to exercise like a 20 year old. As a result my weight steadily grew over the past 10 years. That I am not proud of but the changes I have made have reversed much of that. I lost a total of 85 lbs in 2016. There is still more to go but I am more than half way to my goal. More importantly I have learned to eat right. That is something I am very proud of! Cheers to 2107. I hope everyone's New Year will be great!

Hell I appreciate it:) Sometimes I dream of a spa weekend with my daughter, but we never seem to get around to it, the ol man wouldnt get anything out of it, but to be pampered by strangers right now would be heavenly. ENjoy every minute of it!!!! Hello Everyone, its 2017....I hope you enjoy the new year:) The last half of 2016 had been hellacious, but there is still so much hope for 2017. Several friends are unknowingly inspiring me right now, and its awesome to feel their hopes and dreams and they are helping us plan our own. WE are going to get another dog, we havent decided exactly when yet, or what kind, but it will be a rescue, my last two dogs were rescues, and will be loved and adored like they were. My plans for tripping to the UK have been put on hold, but Im still hoping to get over there sometime in 17. This month is just going to be family and work focused, and next month is birthdays, so I think february will be too. Im missing kink, but not enough, lol. I wish everyone health, and love. for all of 17:) it helps with the "bumps" in the road

Shahar never underestimate a good mani pedi i learned how to do them for my last owner and i do massage as well. good luck with the crotchet i could never stay focused that long (adhd) i hope your mom gets to feeling better soon there are new procedures instead of injections and cautery check them out. LP sleeping all night is a awesome thing for you i hope it continues. i hope all is well with You and Yours DocStrange i am envious of big bdsm events not many out in nevada check with a nutritionist on making modest diet changes so you can achieve lasting effects Lucylastic i hope you do get a spa day they are great fun there are lots of dog breeds to choose from i love them all makes it hard to choose for me you will find the one for you i hope you make it to the UK try for spring lots of new blossoms and verdant greens. i hope all have a wonderful new year and one needing help asks and receives it clip
