Wish we had a mild winter here

Record cold, and record snow... I am ready for some global warming

Sounds fantastic

Lol... i know! I moved back home from Vegas a couple of years ago! I am enjoying a warmer winter back home here in Mass than it was in Vegas!

Weather vs. climate.

Greenland is likely to enjoy benefits from global warming - others less so

Musicmystery -> RE: Who is ready for some global warming? (1/17/2017 8:39:39 AM)

The sea rises in Greenland too.

WhoreMods -> RE: Who is ready for some global warming? (1/17/2017 8:43:19 AM)

Not half as high as it will in Holland, though...

blnymph -> RE: Who is ready for some global warming? (1/17/2017 11:34:38 AM)

Not to mention Bangla Desh, East Anglia, Pacific islands, the coasts of China ... oh and Alaska ... and more

WhoreMods -> RE: Who is ready for some global warming? (1/17/2017 11:44:49 AM)

I can see Florida and Louisiana having serious issues as well.

Musicmystery -> RE: Who is ready for some global warming? (1/17/2017 11:54:47 AM)

Miami already has some streets flooding at high tide.

The high point of FL is only 150 feet above sea level.

WhoreMods -> RE: Who is ready for some global warming? (1/17/2017 11:57:32 AM)

Thanks, I didn't know that.

My brother sold his house down there a few years ago when he started having water springing up in his yard.

Miami Is Sinking, Sea Level Isn't Rising

Do the fish swim in the streets of Miami at high tide, as Barack Obama said in Paris?

"No."

Musicmystery -> RE: Who is ready for some global warming? (1/17/2017 1:20:04 PM)

"When asked if subsidence — the gradual caving in or sinking of an area of land — had any role in the flooding, Berthier told The DCNF that it is not happening."

Never, growing up and being educated, did I imagine a US President would officially take a science-denying official position.

Who pays the "scientists" for what. They are fired if they don't toe the alt left propaganda line, so what do you expect. The Catholic Church probably had a better grip on science back in the dark ages

Nutsucker felchgobblers such as yourself tommie, have never had a grip on anything, and most notably; truth and fact.

Oh mental patient. I can just see you looking at your reflection in your monitor while you wrote that.

They promised the end of snow by now. It's "settled science" they said. WTF!!! I WANT MY GLOBAL WARMING!!!

Me too! My toes just about froze when I was on my bicycle this morning. The weather forecast lied too: they said it was about -1 Celcius, whereas in fact it was -4.

On my return journey I wrapped pieces of paper around my toes between my inner and outer socks; and pauzed in a supermarket as well. The bicycle ride back was not as bad as the outbound journey.

Some would attribute this phenomenon of perception to our getting older and slowing down, so everything seems to be speeding up in relation.

Quite.

Forty years ago on this date we saw snow flurries in Miami. Every winter we used to get freeze warnings. The orange and tomato crops had to be protected, and backyard plants as well.

We haven't had those freeze warnings except once or twice in the following decades. There seems to be something afoot with the climate.

Hasn't snowed here since then either.
