Obama’s Longest Con Was on Young People: POTUS Oversaw 36% Increase in Youth Misery Index Since 2009

Figure Spikes to Record High in 2017

The Youth Misery Index (YMI), a figure calculated annually by Young America’s Foundation, spiked to a record high of 113.4 in early 2017, up from 109.9 last January, and 83.5 in 2009 when President Obama took office. The Index is calculated by adding youth unemployment, student loan debt, and national debt per capita numbers.

Over the course of Obama’s presidency, the YMI has spiked an alarming 29.9 points, an increase of 36 percent.

Young Americans, a generation that provided critical support to the President in 2008 and 2012, have slogged through the last eight years, and will be chained to its impact on their futures for years to come. The youth unemployment rate is almost 15 percent and the average student in the class of 2016 graduated with a record $37,000 in student loan debt. National debt per capita, a remarkable burden that will fall squarely on the shoulders of millennials, is approaching $62,000.

FYI, "Young America's Foundation" is a conservative group.

So we have to start with a suspicion of bias. Hence, unsourced data is suspect.

That doesn't disprove anything either, of course. But I'd love to see where this come from before swallowing the conclusions.

I thought they were a 'we dont like slavery' group. Forced to pay the debts of the parents that the parents never had a chance to vote for is the definition of slavery.

The nutsucker slobberblog organ Young America's Foundation, neglects to mention that student loan debt reform was dumped down the toilet by the very own nutsucker party they felch, and their debt is so the nutsuckers dont have to pay taxes, rather give that money for corporate welfare.

I agree, links to sources would be good, but in general, you want to argue that youth unemployment, student loan debt and overall debt per capita have not increased?

Ja, that is some circlefelch. The circlefelch goes in a circle, self-referential or slobberblogs quoting other slobberblogs is still factless nutsuckerism, its just circular.

The nutsuckers put us into debt with borrow and spend, and fuck up any reform of student loan borrowing.

When you generate a figure like that, careful consideration must be given to the weight of each factor in its composition. This stupidity appears to use decimal points.

it is dismissed. I know they're fucking miserable, so are alot of people, but this number means nothing.
