I'm quite enjoying the whole "but Hilary" thing myself: time was they'd blame everything on a former president from the other party, rather than somebody who failed to get elected. It's taken the whole school of whiney excuse making popular with the Republicans from from "we can do this because they did that" to "he can do this because she might have done that". More of the post-truth agenda, I suppose.

FR Has anyone actually seen any kind of plans for "the wall"? How tall will it be? How thick will it be? What will the building material be? How far will it extend underground to prevent tunnelers? How will the top of the wall be built to prevent grappling hooks? How frequent along it's length will there be guards and/or guard stations? etc. etc.

The height and thickness kept changing while he was campaigning, iirc: it had got a lot lower and thinner by the time he was elected.

Nope. I'm really not interested in this inter-poster snark. It's dull. The point is this -- who's going to pay for this ridiculously expensive wall that won't even do what it's supposed to? As pointless as rounding up innocent people with legal VISAs and detaining them on a whim for following the system. That ought to trouble everyone. That's not a democratic government in action.
