I guess it's okay that not everyone can dig into the constitution and all the nuances of our legal system, but is knowing a small bit of world history too much to ask? Americas "invaded" Nazi Germany because they declared war on us, after we declared war on the Japanese. I guess, technically, we did "invade", but that was because they showed no signs of giving up, even after they'd been beaten out of Africa, Italy, France, Belgium, Poland ... I guess we should have stopped at the Siegfried Line, let them rest up, a couple of years and try it all, again? Michael

The Social Democrats had the second most at 133. 1933-- Nazis won 288 out of 647 seats. The Social Democrats had the second most at 120. There was no power bargain stuck-- where are you getting this shit? Hitler had the most seats, thought he should be chancellor, but Hindenburg resisted for as long as he could because he thought it would probably be a mistake.

Hindenburg appointed two chancellors before hitler, they failed miserably they did not have Reichstag support (the nazis had the power in the Riechstag), von Papen thinking he could control Hitler and be the puppetmaster made a deal Hitler Chancellor and von Papen vice-chancellor. In hope (because all but three of the Posts including Hitler were von Pappen people) of creating a stable government Hindenburg acquiesced. Sorta like the nutsuckers tried to surround Il Douchemeister with nutsuckers to control him, and here we go. You should read a book sometime, welfare patient.

Don't you know that one of the great myths of WWII is that Hitler came to power through legitimate means. Apparently you have been reading those sources that bought that myth. Back to the original absurdity of your comment implying there was anything wrong with the Allied (not the American) invasion of Germany. How many countries did Germany overrun before the US even got into the war? Of course they were fighting the US so how bad could they be.
