Every situation is different so there is nothing like a perfect sub or a perfect mistress but...
can we identify 'general characteristics' that make someone 'good' in service?

DesFIP -> RE: The perfect submission (3/15/2017 7:12:02 PM)

Why do you define submissive as service oriented? Because lots of us aren't.
Some people are into obedience, some emotional transparency.

By your definition, I'm not submissive because service does nothing for me. By his definition, I am. Because he's not in this for service either. He doesn't care who puts the kettle on in the morning. He just cares about that first cup of tea.

And btw, how do you have online service? They wash their own dishes on cam while telling you they're doing yours?

The desire to be owned by their Master.

there is as many different forms of submission as there are submissives. i am a service oriented slave and enjoy providing service to my owner from helping with heath care to giving a massage. i do enjoy floggings and stuff i get more from the service like once a turned a unused basement into a 900sf play space for about 300$ made a heave duty cross out of old raised bed planters from the yard. the look on my owners face and the touch on my cheek was all i needed to hit subspace. so for your perfect submission you need to find what fits you the best and look for that.

This is a nice one, I agree

kiwisub22 -> RE: The perfect submission (3/17/2017 3:08:59 PM)

I was "good" with my dominant - because I could make a cup of coffee and serve it to him, and keep the house clean, and basically do whatever he wanted me to do without arguing about it. That fit our definition of dominance/submission to a T. There are people I know that laughed at us, because for them, D/s took another route.

To be very clichéd bout it, everyone has their own journey, and their own destination and there is very little in common with others. It might look similar from the outside, but inside, where it counts, it can be very different.

Having said that, there are probably a few things that appear similar for most - like not arguing with your dominant in public. and note - I did say most. I'm quite sure there is a couple somewhere who get off on arguing in public and that is how they express their D/s.

Nowt as queer as folk.

HousePhoenixFire -> RE: The perfect submission (3/17/2017 7:45:13 PM)

I disagree. I think service submission and slavery (ownership) are apples and oranges. Although much of what we do may look the same in D/s and M/s, I think the motivation behind ownership or being owned and service submission is usually quite different. To me, they are innately different in that property and slave protocols are more focused on a state of being where service and submissive protocols focus on a set of actions and interactions.

I feel a slave, contrary to common belief, does not have to be a submissive or have a submissive personality trait. I feel that slavery and submission are separate paths and one does not lead to the other, nor can they be accurately compared to each other.

I totally agree with that.

For me that would be honesty and intelligence and I would apply it equally to both side of the kneel.

For example I would expect a submissive to be honest about what he wants and intelligent enough to avoid the princess profiles that seem to pop up every time the rent is due.

and I would expect the dominant to be honest enough to admit she is too lazy to get a real job and hopes some idiot male will be so anxious to yank his dick that he will send her money simply for posting some random boob shot on collar me. Oh and it would be nice if she was intelligent enough to create a profile with a searchable pic.

I will simply do a quote from Anton Lavey.........(look him up,I don't spoon feed-and I'm not into what he was doing. I just liked the quote)

I have resented those who took my time.

Enjoyed those who shared my time.

But I have TREASURED those who MADE me time.

"Adaptable" will always be superior to "perfect"

Oh that's easy. A desire to serve. Beyond that, no, it is all far to personal

Oh fuck me! That is going to be rolling around in my head for a while. Thanks for the brain candy.[:)]
I wish you would start a thread to expound on that at length.

You mean, they lied to me when they told me it was a sandwich and a blow job?
