Now...that said....

I'm really disappointed with the quality of journalism today. I'm not even talking about the fake news crap.

But this article, while based on truth, is really, really overblown in its headline and tone, and ignores that the justices' criticism is essentially pointless -- it doesn't change a thing on capital hill or the White House.

I've read articles recently in the New Yorker that were flat out not about what the headline and description said. I've read several there and in the Atlantic that posed as articles and were really opinion pieces. (Esquire also runs opinion pieces, but there's no mistaking them for articles).

It just seems...silly and pointless.

Are we as news consumers really this dumb, or this indiscriminate, or this apathetic, or this thirsty for empty stimulation?
