ORIGINAL: WickedsDesire Women on social media are criticising a Donald Trump tweet supporting women. On Thursday night the US president wrote: "Only by enlisting the full potential of women in our society will we be truly able to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain." But Trump was one of the guys who employ women in the construction industry for higher positions before anybody else did. And considering how he has empowered his daughter to be what she is today, not holding her back from achieving whatever she wants to achieve. And he would trust her to take over his entire company. I'd say Trump supports women. I know too many men who makes "sexist remarks" towards women but have no problems hiring them and trusting them with their most important tasks. So to me, action speaks louder than words. Lots of men like to say "macho shit". But I really want to see what they have done for women. Do they consider women for big roles in their companies. Would they consider a Female successor. While there are men who never say a single sexist thing towards women, but actions wise, they don't empower women or employ women. My x-boss, when he is having cigar and whisky with his male buddies, you'd think he is the most misogynistic man alive, if you hear those talk. But when one and one with me, he was grooming me. He always told me, as a woman, you are dealing with a men much older than you, who think you shouldn't be here because you are a woman. They may think you are bitch and many other things and try to devalue everything you are capable of. But you don't let them bring you down. You take charge and show them who is boss. I was mid twenties in a company with many 40 to 50 yr old males, about 50 of them, and I was placed on top of them by my boss. And getting their co-operation being a barely mid twenty woman was not easy. But I've been working since 15 yr old, so even at 24, I still had 9 years of experience already. On what I was gonna run. I remembered sometimes things got so bad I ask my boss to please help me intervene, but he told me to stand strong and that if he comes to my defense and intervene and take my side infront of them. I lose all respect. Yet my boss says alot of sexist thing back then. But his actions, he empowered me. The saddest thing about that job is he was grooming to be his successor. But I refused the job, as I didn't enjoy being a leader. And it was okay to have him on top of me, but to be completely hands off and it's all 100% me on the top. I think that is where my natural orientation, what I feel is my core, feel this was soo wrong for me. I have no wish to be one. To be leading. I like being lead.
