ORIGINAL: Chaska One should stand on their own merit. Are you going to deny there is no clique and mop mentality here? I'm kind of curious. Once is a typo. Several times is intentional. Why do you keep typing it out as the "mop" mentality? Is it your own personal dig or something? If I am understanding you correctly, I happen to think I am one of the WORST people to discuss the subject. I suppose, a person would have to say that I had an "in" when I first got introduced to this joint. I knew more than fifty people at real life events before I even bothered to fill out the profile. Sorry to disappoint, but no, I don't see it as a clique. Yeah, I'm going to admit that I probably kind of suck for just doing what I do, but I happen to think that most people without an actual health disability can do the same thing. We have different points of view, that's all. For what it's worth, five years ago, if you would have asked me what people were doing "wrong" around this place, I'd have told you that it was the inability to meet and befriend other people here. It's not that difficult of an obstacle to overcome. Yet, it's more than that. This so-called clique, family, or friendship business? I just don't understand why it should affect anybody else. I can assure you, no matter how many people you think *like* me, I can point you to just as many people who absolutely LOATHE me, would probably throw a party if I never posted again, etc, etc. Even with all of my advantages, I just don't *get* why this concept of the clique bothers people. My friends or lack of friends shouldn't disturb anybody in the least. It might not be groovy with some, but it's not the backbone of my unadulterated opinion. Whether you like me or not doesn't change that. It's probably my ambivalence of other people's opinions that made me a part of the so-called clique in the first place.
