....was on C-Span on (last) Thursday explaining how she's not upset that she lost just that....she "lost (her) opportunity to have a voice in the message".

"My Dad was a small business man ("log cabin"), my Mom was a stay at home Mom ("olden days....better days when one worker could support a family....my family suffered...we didn't have much")

Turns out Mom had a college degree, did quite well for herself...made a name....Dad was a hard worker....they had a FINE home....live in the better parts of town.

YAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWN.

P&R forum.

Down the hall, second door straight ahead.

Just to give you something else to not be able to figure out.

Actually the Dungeon was created for those who wanted to discuss those topics in an unmoderated manner. Those who wanted to discuss topics in a civilized fashion were still supposed to be welcomed to post here, where they had previously but with a moderator.

Close, but no cigar.
When the moderation (and indeed, the specific moderator who must not be named) broke down a year or three back, an additional unmodded politics forum was set up as an extra to the longstanding P&R forum. people ignored it, and continued posting in the as then selectively moderating main P&R forum instead.

When I first joined, there was a lot of discussion about the Dungeon being set up specifically at the request of long time posters who were tired of being so strictly modded while discussing politics and religion. This area of the board was still being used for some topics but the more impassioned posters stuck to the Dungeon so topics that were posted here rarely got off the ground anymore.

"Off the Grid" I always took as an alternative way of describing "Off the Track,"Off the Beaten Path," sometimes perhaps, as compared to the BDSM focus of the site or P&R. The only place on the site for discussion of 'vanilla' things. And off with mention of dungeons of any sort, while we're at it.

P&R ain't any of those.

And this sector ain't any of P&R, if it's doing anything right at all.

Not all of us think that tributes to Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell vs bitching about Hillary or Trump belong at the same party. People like the latter are like the people who stumble in and barf into the punch bowl while three other people are dipping into it. Fucking idiots. It's just in their nature to ruin a good time, and in fabulous manner.

Oh, did I mention?

If I Could Build My Whole World Around You (Marvin Gaye and Tami Terrell)

My opportunism knows no bounds;

Marvin Gaye Tammi Terrell- Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing

I don't know if there were two more compatico and perfect voices together in pop music.
