Kristen Hyman, a sheriff in Hudson County, New Jersey, US, made headlines across the country after videos of her dominatrix alter-ego went viral online.

Hyman, who went by the alias Domina Nyx, engaged in a range of strange behaviour, with various clips showing her violently kicking men in the testicles, choking them and making them smell her feet.

The sheriff’s office, conducting an investigation into Hyman’s previous life, claimed her activities were unbecoming of a public employee. She should become a politician then. movie star, joe public, better than the police death squads, catholic fiddler priest etc

“I became interested in the scene at a very early age,” Hyman said in 2011.

“I’d always had a desire to explore the options available to me outside of a traditional boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

"As a teenager, I already knew I was a dominant, a sadist, and a fetishist – it was only when I started attending fetish events that I realised there was a whole community of other women like myself.”

Hyman is not expected to face any criminal charges relating to her behaviour – but could lose her job.

She was sworn in as an officer on June 8 but has been placed on modified duty pending the conclusion of the investigation.
