This film looks a bit rubbish, to be honest. She wears far too many clothes for a superheroine. Women can't fight properly unless they have bare midriffs and are showing lots of honed buttock. Everybody knows that.

Are you sure? Catsuits seem to be part of the dress code as well.

Catsuits are jolly agreeable on the eye, I must say.

Why don't women wear them more often? I know there's that problem with the toilet, and they wouldn't work in winter without a nice fluffy cardy over the top (which kind of ruins the effect) - but, still, you'd expect to seem them at least at BDSM venues. Are they super-expensive?*

*I'm not aiming that question at you in particular, WM. No offence but I have a fairly strong idea that you wouldn't have the first clue. ;)

I knew I was forgetting somebody important there. I'd probably have gone for the Michelle Pfeiffer version myself, though...

I held off reading this thread until I went and saw the movie. I did not even peek (and that was hard!). I finally saw the movie tonight and it rocked! I loved it. I must say Gal Gadot is exceptionally beautiful and I love her accent :) Chris Pine was an excellent choice for co-star, very well played. Something about the movie just made me feel good :)

I thought it was great. Everything about it was good. I think I'd have gone for Hippolyta, General of the Amazonian army, rather than Diana. David Thewlis as a supervillain, though ... lordy, that must have scrambled the man's brain when he got the phone call offering him the part.

I was incredibly excited to see this since they first announced it. I have my reasons as well including, but not limited to, I wanted to be her when I grew up. Still waiting on that call.

Lynda Carter's portrayal was slightly before my time, so I had no reservations on replacements. I think Gal Gadot was a perfect choice.

The movie, however, didn't impress me much. Not Gadot's fault, or any actors in it - I thought they did a great job. Just not enough badassery IMO. I liked the beginning. I enjoy backstories. It was the middle of the movie that didn't keep my attention. I even watched it a second time a week later (due to limited viewing options) and it still didn't keep my attention in the middle. Still liked it overall because it's freakin' Wonder Woman.
