Now, being an old school hot rod enthusiast, I have recently discovered some vehicles, well vessels, that has made me believe that selling my land holdings in West Central Texas may be a good idea.
You see, I found four old Riverine (River patrol vessels, Vietnam war era) that are for sell.
Two are the vaunted swift boats, one is of the type that was used as a platform for mortars (not that firing a Mortar from a boat on a river seems like a good idea, but hey, it was the navy/marines that came up with the idea) and one is a renovated Post WW2 supply vessel used as a support vessel (draws too much water for the river I am thinking of, but more about that later.)
Now, my new survivalist plan is to purchase some property south of Waco Tx on the Brazos, and have three of the vessels kept there (the actual river patrol boats) with the support vessel moored at a friend of mine's property down on the coast south of Galveston.
Thankfully, there are no barriers to shallow water navigation between the area I am considering and the gulf of Mexico, which means that the three vessels could make a high speed run to the coast in just under 7 hours, if necessary, with the ability to transport about 35 souls.
Of course, this means to bring the vessels themselves back to readiness for any conceivable possibility, O would have to purchase a total of 12 50 cal heavy barrel machined guns for the four twin 50 mounts, and converting the M60 mounts to accept a .50. Then since the other vessel will not have a mortar on it, have to put a number of 50's on it.
Now, being a traditionalist, the support ship would have to go to its pre-Vietnam configuration so....
Two 3 inch 50's and eight twin 20 mm bofers guns.
Now, what, you may ask, would cause one to even consider this kind of firepower and this elaborate escape plan?
Considering that Donald Trump got elected, Hilary got nominated, it has dawned on me that he US could, and probably would, nominate and elect Kim Kardashian as the first woman president.
Yes, this year she meets the minimum age requirement as per the constitution.
