To be fair, I read part of this thread before we went to see the movie. (By the way, thanks for no actual spoilers.) As mentioned, I'm in the category of people who are more into the film for the entertainment value than whether the premise is completely plausible. The discussion about it has been interesting on the thread and I looked for a couple of Jeff's points in the movie, but only as momentary thought. (Sorry, Jeff.) The film was money well spent. I know I've said that about other films this spring/summer but I think anybody who liked the first two will have a good time with the third. The theater was full for the show time we had planned on, so we ended up catching a later time at the theater. It happened to be one of the viewings in 3D. Holy crud! Even if the movie had sucked, I'd have still been amazed by how much better 3D is now than it was back in the day. (Yes, I know I'm behind the times.) If a person only spends the extra for certain films for 3D, this one is a pretty good bet. That aside, the story line was good. I thought Woody Harellson was very good in his role. The guy really does have some acting talent in there. I don't think this will be the last PoTA flick. Not just because I tend to be cynical of the Hollywood money making machine. There's definitely potential there for a creative script writer to go beyond this trilogy in a next chapter kind of way. I think fans would go for it, if Hollywood gave this another go-round.
