Okay, we should be getting into the dog days of summer. Luckily the electric bill has not bitten into our budget (yet) but I have been getting a bit overheated if I stay out too long.

So far we are okay. Mom is doing PT for a bum knee and I am getting ready to work on this belly. Taking 2 meds now for the tremours that the Depakote has given me (kinda hard to sit still when legs and arms are shaking).

Replacing the afghans for the kiddos and have joined a new crochet group on FB.

Lovelife = lackluster. Enough said.

Everyone have fun and be careful. Don't get overheated!

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. I hope you find a solution that works.

My own electric bill was $181 last month (yikes, it's usually around $80), but I've been running the air conditioner this summer, plus heat lamps for the tiny chicks and ducklings, the 150 watt security lights for the poultry barn, and of course there is the filter for the in-ground swimming pool. The tv is only on nights, since the list of Projects is still pretty long and gets us outside whenever free time is available. The days have been hot (80's in Maine are considered hot, and some days have been in the "kill-ah" 90's), but there is always the pool to cool. A quick dunk and you are refreshed and ready to go back.

Got the major fence Project DONE (we celebrated), my flower gardens are in good shape this year (actually one of them is now PERFECT after suffering weeds and disorder for several years), laying concrete slabs this week, building a chicken coop, next week the old deck comes down and a new one goes up. That's the PLAN at least (and we all know how THOSE go). I'm hoping to get the house and barn repainted before cold weather, but we'll see.

My news this month is that we now know the twins will be girls, and we have decided to name them Faith and Hope, because having another child (or in this case children) after the death of our first, is an act of both faith and hope.

It also sort of establishes a family tradition of naming girls after abstract nouns.

Aloha and so very time to update ; I know I could wait for September - yet here's hoping that I'll be happily too busy again!
I've driven more than a thousand miles these last couple of weeks - Back to the PNW for a dearly deserved day of pampering from the Sly Satyr up in nearly rural western Washington.
kudos for him bravely chained between trees as I flogged & caned him, followed by well prepared dinner & massage for Me. So pleased he's sent along a pretty shot of My bitemarks on his asscheeks, yay!
Spent terrifficc girl time with the little sparrow & her Goddess style bath, she shared her current passion for professional bull riders and then I learned another way to create earrings!
My desire to travel more has opened the way to visit with potential longer term subjects.. All around the world! Ha! Have passport, will travel.. Make it So!
Glad You Ladies are still checking in & calling the shots here - sad other places are closing or simply fading away.. Not our style, neh?
