Marini -> Sending messages on the other side (8/6/2017 1:37:04 PM)

I just noticed that whenever I send a message on the other side, I screen comes up "CAPTCHA", you have to check the box, to prove you are not a robot.
I am not complaining, I hope that new feature will cut down on some of the problems on the other side.

Anyone else noticed? comments?

Nope, when I send a message, if it is a reply it just goes through as per normal, if it is an attempt to start an exchange (i.e. a new message), then it just disappears. Sara set up an account and hers is the opposite, she can initiate a message, but when she tries to reply, it just vanishes into the ether.

Marini -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/6/2017 1:49:32 PM)

Okay, it's not a problem, and it's not like I send a lot of messages, it's just an added security step I have never seen before.
Thanks for the reply!

It seems to me that this site behaves differently for every person. I now get some "Checking your browser" page when I first load the site, some sort of DDoS protection thing.

No pictures married mutt?

Perhaps they have a spit filter or throw up on a lap filter?

WickedsDesire -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/6/2017 7:02:47 PM)

I have been getting that checking browser message for a couple of days now. To be honest I've been online since the early 80s and have never seen such a message to access a site before. I find it somewhat disturbing given the amount of malware prevalent on the Net today. It's something of a moot point though as that screen is followed by a 504 Gateway Timeout message and I can't get onto the the other side anyway. This whole place is starting to seem seriously broken and it may well be time to just find some other venue.

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/7/2017 7:30:28 AM)

Yeah, I am getting the 504 as well today.

DesFIP -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/7/2017 12:30:35 PM)

I'm getting a message that says it's checking my browser and will connect within five seconds. Needless to say, it never connects.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/7/2017 2:11:47 PM)

Did the checking browser earlier today and now the 504 message. No catchit(?) message but then I seldom do messages and only reply to a few select Doms.

MstrssPassion -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/7/2017 2:26:29 PM)

Took me some searching to find the way into these forums and then a little while longer to figure out how to log in.

I've been trying to log in on the other side for nearly 24 hours. The sites been super glitch for a long time now but never has it been down this long.

Makes me wonder if they will just let it die.

HaveRopeWillBind -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/7/2017 2:59:00 PM)

It makes too much money to just let it die...

"collarspace.com receives about 20,150 unique visitors and 394,940 (19.60 per visitor) page views per day which should earn about $3,224.65/day from advertising revenue. Estimated site value is $1,457,284.98. According to Alexa Traffic Rank collarspace.com is ranked number 15,105 in the world and 0.00403% of global Internet users visit it. Site is hosted in San Francisco, CA, 94107, United States and links to network IP address 104.20.35.175."

That was from the introductory paragraph about CS on Hypestat. I've seen similar numbers on other sites that estimate web traffic.
I just can't understand how anyone can let a site that brings in over $3000/day languish into such a poor state.

MstrssPassion -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/7/2017 3:36:42 PM)

It does make one scratch their head.... but hey, in my own searching around today it appears the old domain name is for sale.

Any kinky-geeky entrepreneurs out there??

MAINEiacMISTRESS -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/7/2017 5:58:05 PM)

It's been all over the place for me lately. I've been getting error messages, "timed out" messages, even that stupid captcha thing. I suppose it's too much to hope the problems are because IMPROVEMENTS might be being made. I usually pop online only for a few minutes here and there, so it has been a little frustrating trying to communicate with others I chat with on here.

Has that ever been the case?

They'll only be earning that if they are hosting ads on the site and they aren't hosting that many.

Marini -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/8/2017 1:30:17 PM)

4:30 on 8/8-- the other side is finally working for me now.

Back to the Captcha message, that I was getting on Sunday, when I send a message.

What a great idea, Mstress Passion, I wish I could afford to buy it, I would love to own it.

Marini -> RE: Sending messages on the other side (8/9/2017 5:42:10 PM)

Too funny, now when I want to send a message, I have to identify items related to roads and road signs correctly, and check the box so the "system" knows I am not a robot.
oh boy
