Title of the article: "Inside the Changing Leather Scene." "As the stigma against BDSM subsides, how does a long-underground culture move into a new era?" Written by Matt Baume. Published one day ago. The full article is here. http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/features/bdsm-inside-changing-leather-kink-scene-w496283 The article itself, is more good than bad. In my personal opinion, there are certain things a person should look for in any article about leather, a leather con, etc. Stuff like the actual history in it. Factoids like the first IML (sorry, International Mr Leather) really wasn't anything more than a gimmick at a bar. How that changed over the decades since then. For an article to be good, look for things like parts of it related to the generations of leather concept. (If you read this particular article, that's the whole 'old guard vrs new guard, until the new guard becomes the old guard' stuff.) Basically, look for the stuff that your leather friend would tell if you ever asked them about the culture. I hope you'll enjoy the article as much as I did. I'm not sure if this is really "discussion," but it's not a bad start.
