Irish,
Clinton made a mistake, the Republican's made it a disaster.  They told Clinton and America that there was no issue more important facing America than the meaning of "is"...
So that was what Republican's thought important, all while North Korea was arming, Osama was gaining strength, while Pakistan was selling nuclear weapon technology, and Saudi Arabians were planning, staffing and funding 9/11.

And what was Bush focused on prior to 9/11?  It sure wasn't terrorists, it was a missle defense system...

CrappyDom,
I hear and agree about the 'is' factor. Also, do you remember back in 1998, when Clinton gave an address to the nation about his concerns of the future of Terrorism? He discussed how he felt international terrorism would come to our shores.

After the speech, the GOP voted down the bill to give money and the military more might to combat terrorism. Honesty, when I heard the speech...and saw his Bill was denied, I didn't think much about it.

(EDIT: I'm really not into blaming  Dems or Reps...I think they've both made a mess of things)

Wished I had given it more concern.

Please.  I don't recall Clinton invading sovereign nations and lying about the reasons.

But didn't he send some cruise missles into a pharmacutical factory? Some think that happened to get attention off of his personal issues, a wagging of the dog. I have no idea if that's true or not.

And as for the Bush detractors always having real issues to talk about, I've had to get a new shipment of tin foil hats.

CrappyDom -> RE: George W. Bush Fan Club (7/28/2006 3:56:09 PM)

Democrats are not saints, they are not perfect, some should be barred from office like Fineswine and Schumer, but overall, they are vastly better than the alternative.

Imagine where America would be today if we had continued on the path Carter put us on to become energy independent.  It was a 30 year plan that Raygun gutted over 20 years ago.

And what does Bush want to do?  Return to the moon, I guess he forgot a Democrat already proposed and did that fourty years ago.

I'm amazed the critisism Kerry comes under for 4 Purple Hearts in Vietnam. They don't give Purple Hearts for falling off bar stools in Texas, or skipping flight physicals so you don't fail the drug test.

I think Kerry is a decent man, and I am embarrased at what the swiftboat smear campaign did.

CrappyDom -> RE: George W. Bush Fan Club (7/28/2006 3:58:02 PM)

Level,

See how fucked Clinton was?  He was going after Bin Laden, someone nobody had heard of back then and even after 9/11 you STILL want to say he was just randomly firing off missiles to distract America from the REAL danger...oral sex or something.

I'd be embarassed too if I were Kerry

CrappyDom,
Also consider this...When Carter was prez, many people said, "Nice guy...too honest"...then when we get a liar, everyone yells, "Liar! We want integrity in our White House!!!"

Interesting how Bi-polar we americans can be! By the way, Carter is still an amazing human being!

CrappyDom -> RE: George W. Bush Fan Club (7/28/2006 3:59:44 PM)

Level,

Kerry hired the same campaign people who ran the Dukakis and another failed Democratic presidential run.  He wouldn't even take calls from anyone who ran Clinton's two successful campaigns.

I wouldn't say he deserved to lose but he couldn't have tried much hard to do so...

i feel like blowing a huge cock like the one clinton has! ;-0

Rich,
I'm neither Dem nor Rep. I've been involved in the past with both parties and BOTH have their lies, and deceit....I wouldn't care if Bush were a Dem---I would have never voted for the man based on his record and inexperience.
That's just me.

Ah, Irish, but your posting record has you so far in left field you have to be seated near Trotsky [:-]

Yeah, I know.........the whole oath thing. While I agree that action was not correct, I just found the whole idea of wether or not he did and that my hard earned tax money was spent on getting to the bottom of wether he screwed her or not rediculous. The fact is that in the big picture it really didn't matter in the first place. I would lay odds that you would be hard pressed to prove that any president DIDN'T screw around with another woman......or man.......but our twisted sense of what is important in this country has gotten so out of hand its just purely sickening. The truth is, it really doesn't matter who the president of the US fucks or how he does it. What matters is how he runs the country and represents our country to the rest of the world. Those are the issues that we should focus on. And yes, I know that there will be those moral fantatics that will say......"He commited adultery!!! That makes the US look bad!" Bullocks!!!!!!!! As it has been proven in history most world leaders do commit adultery. It was our fanatasizm and media frenzy over the whole thing that made us look like fools! Another truth.....ALL politicians lie! DUH!!!!

Agreed, Tigresse. A lot of wasted time and foolishness occured then.

All I'm saying is that Clinton had moral lapses lol-- I also think he tried to do a lot of good.

I'm not American, Democrat or Republican but .....

Even if you're the staunchest member of Bush's party, weren't their better alternatives as leader?  I don't want to insult the guy, I'm sure he's a decent enough man at home but honestly, I wouldn't hire him to work for my company in any capacity.

(lol at me trying not to say "that is one dumb bloke")

Mind you, he leads Blair around by the nose.

LOL English, yeah, there's better alternatives, but he got behind the wheel, so to speak.

Colin Powell and John McCain from the Right, Ross Perot from errr, all over the politcal map, maybe Barack Obama from the Left one day, would likely all do quite well in the Oval Office.
