Status: offline 		Mexico was recognized as independent from Spain in Sep of 1821, Tx left in 1836 that is 15 years,
less than a 10th of the time they have been part of the US let alone the time they had not been
part of Mexico.
By way of comparison the city of Rome has a better claim on all of Italy

It was called ' The new pub' by the locals because the rest of the pubs there were all 600 to 700 years old and the one in a village a few miles away had been licensed for 800 years *smile*. It's still there if you ever want to visit. It's the only pub of it's name in England, so easy to look up.................' The Royal Standard Of England' in Forty Green, Bucks.

Boils down to "imperialist Spanish conquistadors good - USA bad" because Texas was a part of the Spanish empire for a very long time, and the people of Texas deserved the choice between the USA and Mexico. And let's face facts here, Texas was very fortunate to be a part of the USA rather than the third-world so many want so badly to escape to America from
