What is sad is your "...but Obama" doesnt do anything to mitigate what Trump does now. Perhaps you might not have noticed that a white dude named Trump took over in January? Its now August. So "...but Obama" is not Trump's "Fuck Up the US" free card. Just sayin

That too happens in real world political discussions

I don't agree. For instance I saw, Obama coming out and saying if he'd had a son it would look just like Travon Martin while George Zimmerman was still going through the system, basically polluting that system. I see Obama setting the IRS on his political opponents just in time for his reelection polluting that system. I see Obama standing up when a white cop wa making sure a black citizen was okay, following established procedure, and saying the white cop acted stupidly which basically polluted the system. I see the Atterney General saying "my people" in reference to black Americans while excluding white Americans as polluting the system. I see the Obama justice department letting racist black activists off when they had pretty much already been found guilty of voter intimidation as polluting the system.

So, when I hear that Obama's justice department went after Arpaio like a witch hunt I have to believe it. I believe it because Obama polluted the system with racist shit and left the state of race relations in this country far worse than he found it.

And, while Obama was doing all that and more I heard not a word in complaint from the left. When Obama made the universities take away men's right to due process on college campuses I heard the left cheer.

I have no doubt in my mind that this case is a product of the racist Obama administration and the racist Justice department under Obama.

You drama queens doing your death-spiral dances are cute, but your hysterics (which, all we have seen are hysterics from you fools since Trump won the nomination) come across as blatantly hypocritical after your beloved Mr "Hope and Change" did his little reach-around for a terrorist

That you go off the deep end when I mention it only proves how much you hate getting your face rubbed in the piles of shit Obama left laying around everywhere, and it makes me laugh

Arpaio did have the gall to investigate Obama's birth certificate. It's reasonable for Obama to send the Justice department after him to punish him.

And Arpaio kept the illegal invaders issue on the front burner. Which, Obama's open border program was losing issue for Democrats (Hello President Trump!)

The hypocrisy of the left once again astounds me, for 8 years President Obama blamed everything under the sun on President Bush and the left not only agreed with him, they took up the cry and defended him.

Here we are not even a year out of Obama's second term, and the left throws a hissy fit every time someone brings up the past 8 years.

I actually blame Obama for Obama's poor choices. As I blame Trump only for his. Blamed Clinton for Clinton. Blamed Bush Jr. for Bush Jr, Bush Sr. for Bush Sr, and Reagan for Reagan. It isnt always Left or Right...or black and white.

Hell, I dont even have any opinion on Arpaio's pardoning. The way I see it, it is a power granted to the POTUS. It is inherently controversial because people have feelings one way or the other on pretty much every person getting a pardon. Let's be real...its not something you earn by being a stellar citizen. Its given because you didnt do what they accused you of...all the way to being found guilty of it and having it cleared because you were campaign trail battle buddies, etc. And no matter how I may or may not feel on any given pardoned person, it still happens because it was the power granted to the POTUS. So everyone complaining about Obama's pardons are not any better than those speaking out against Trump's. It works both ways, guys.

The economic crash and both wars were on Bush because they were his fault.
Note there was no economic crash during Obama's tenure and he made a sincere attempt to de-escalate the war.

'The people' rejected Obama's immigration policies out of ignorance-- that is the only way to describe anyone who seriously thinks terror and/or a fucking wall is a solution.

Anyway, back to the topic -- the point is that Arpaio was at war with the judiciary, and that's the attraction for Trump.

Having a president open attack and flaunt one branch of government is courting trouble.

At some point, he and the courts are likely to hit a stand-off, i.e., constitutional crisis.

That's what makes this pardon different from other controversial pardons.

But it's not "an attack" on one branch of government, it's "attacks". Off the top of my head I can recall Trump railing against the judges who ruled against his 'Muslim ban' EOs, on the campaign trail he railed against the "Mexican judge" who he claimed was biased against him in one where he was being sued (IIRC The Trump 'University' case) and now he is rewarding a corrupt crony who thumbed his nose at the law and engaged in criminal contempt of court.

And it's not just "an attack" on one of the basic institutions of democracy, it's "attacks". No one needs reminding of his war with the free press that dares to criticise him, and to hold his performance to account. Freedom of the press is a fundamental democratic institution, and essential to the healthy operation of any democracy. Attacks on press freedom by the head of State is tinpot dictator behaviour.

There is a disturbing pattern of systematic repeated attacks on the basic institutions of American democracy by Trump. He is raising the stakes way beyond his own survival - the future of American democracy could be in jeopardy from these types of attack. Can the stakes for Americans and the world be higher?

I see... By pardoning that harmless old man who is a personal friend for a misdemeanor, the evil Nazi Russian robot president has destroyed the rule of law, like only an evil Nazi Russian robot can do...

Love your childish imagination btw, three-year-olds are cute

Remember when Obama really did openly attack and flaunt the constitution, and the other branches of government in ways that really were dangerous to the rule of law?

Obama is defying the Constitution on war - The Washington Post

Obama Administration Admits It Violated Judge's Order

Obama accused of defying court on drilling ban

Top 10 Ways Obama Violated The Constitution During His Presidency - The Obama administration has been the most lawless in U.S. history. Here are just a few examples to prove it.

Obama Defies Congress, Issues No-Deportation Order

Pardon one old man for a misdemeanor though... And it's the end of civilization as we know it

You drama queens really need to pull your heads out of your asses

No, there are not going to be two standards by which we judge presidents.

One standard for all. Trump does something that is literally nothing compared to the things that Obama did and you go full drama queen over it, we are going to rub your childish faces in it every time
