I'm well aware that "Yankees" are those above the Mason-Dixon line who launched the war of northern aggression* but he's taliking about "Yankies" who Hill has defined as wankers who make the guy out of The Vapours look gifted with self control.

*(Or anybody who isn't a Texan by some definitions, but I've been told that Louisiana was there before Texas. Perhps I've been misinformed?

It aint just above the Mason Dixon line, it is anyone from outside the territorial boundaries of Texas.

Louisiana was settled by French, a lot of them who got tired of frost bite in the French colony of Quebec, so, since many are descended from Cajuns from WAY up north, they gots another 30 or forty generations to lose the yankee in em.

I figured Harvey was aimed at all the non-Texans allowed to move into Austin, (the Capitol no less) but got sucked off track by all the Louisianans that relocated to Houston after Katrina.

All I know is, when Lehman Brothers crashed, when AIG was crying for life support.

We were affected.

Our country relies alot on MNCs being based here. During that period, there was ALOT of lay offs of foreigners working here.

It affected alot of things. They stimulate our economy. I support Trump as President purely because I believe in his hands, US will economically do better than with Hillary. I still believe it.

As whatever happens in the US, has a trickle effect.

But hey, thanks to Grenfell Tower in the UK, recently, our government went to check all the cladding in all our buildings to be safe and found about 35 buildings that did not have safe claddings. Which will be fix. On top of that, they named and shamed all the buildings involved. And also the contractors who installed the claddings. I guess it's a blame pushing thing going on now. The building owners claim contractors promised them safe cladding.

We are pro-active here! And reactive to world's situation.
