Prepare to see the cost of everything in the area increase. BTW you know that one reason all the unions were behind it is their contracts tend to be woprded "will be paid a minimum of the lesser of X and Minimum wage +Y" So all those union wokers just got a raise even if they don't work fopr Walmart etc.

unlikely. i do think the suburbs will need to pass stricter laws.

the wage they mandate is not really high- consider the cost of living there.... some states already have a higher then 5.15 fed min wage.

the law tho- probaly wont stand up to constitutional challenge. IMO. it should have been a city wide law.

im not sure how anyone could live on 10$ an hour there even.....today in 2006.
