You are offended by the actions of some random woman in another part of the world, who you have never met, and never will. To boot, her actions have nothing to do with you in any shape, form, or fashion.

You are a snowflake.

I love how pointing out potential child abuse is considered a "snowflake". If you are a mother who thinks it's okay to label your child a weirdo. Good on you.

Potential child abuse? Calm down dear, it was just a little top with a word that represented the pregnant mum deciding to show off her big belly. She was using that word to make fun of herself and you can't see that because you wanted to see something more sinister.

I think you were on the camp on defending it being okay to stamp kid's on their hand and humiliating and shaming them for being poor and having no money to pay for lunch. So no wonder.

Potential child abuse... You really need a reality check.

And I believe you had the opinion that it would be funny if the boy that was dropped off in the forest by his parents as punishment were found dead, because it would serve the parents right.

Wanna keep comparing notes?

This is strictly your opinion. Not everyone dresses with the same idea in mind as you do.

Really, in what universe would the recommended most complimentary attire for a woman with apple shaped figure is to walk around and bare her belly? I'd love to know where in the world is this the most flattering and attractive way to feature that body shape?

Maybe the discomfort of carrying a child outweighed her need to be beautiful for strangers? Gee, can't imagine that.

I don't think she was making fun of herself dressing that way. Or else, she wouldn't be so upset about being rejected for her dressing. I think she was labeling her child a weirdo.

There are many cooling loose fitting flowy tops that can be very comfortable. If comfort is her number 1 priority.

I don't see how what she is wearing is actually comfortable with that tight top. It looks uncomfortable.

How can you pretend to read the mind of others when yours is so feeble?

Edwird and Maria.....................come for a vacation to Australia; you will see people wandering around barefoot quite a bit and I often see kids with no shoes on, on their way to school. The great Australian Disaster though is/are thong/jandals/sandshoes/flip-flops. So many people wear them in certain areas, you would swear they are a fashion-statement !!

In this case, I don't think the restaurant should apologise and instead update their policy to say, "No Shoes, No full length shirt, No Service Policy". And simply apologise to her that they didn't make their terms and conditions clearer.

But then this woman will probably come back bottomless too.

That outfit is seriously, I mean, also, putting the word "weirdo" on top of your belly to me is like labeling your unborn child a Weirdo!

This chic was WAAAAAY the fuck OVER the top and...anyone thinking she was in the right....is fucked up.

One is an education system who is suppose to educate thousands of children on being a decent person, teach them that, shaming is okay.

The other is abusive parents who punish their child by abandoning their child in a forest filled with carnivorous animals.

If the child survive, it will just suffer more abuse from the parents, that no child protective services will take the child away from the parents. I think it's mercy. It's Japan. Not Canada.

Asian government don't interfere with parenting. No matter how harsh. And I use Canada because the difference is, my cousins migrated to Canada, and when they were 12 yr old, they go to the police and tell the police their mom beat them, and their mother got arrested, and they got put in child protective services.

Try doing this in any Asian country, the police send you back straight to your parents. And tell you to work it out with your parents.

That kid, may be spared in the forest, but I bet he got punished very badly when he got home for disappearing and causing all that trouble. But it's Japan, so we will never hear about the aftermath fate of the kid.
