Just all part of the new world. Welcome more Muslims, Welcome more Terrorism.

And there was me thinking they'd lost a lot more casualties to terrorism in the 'States than in the whole of Europe since the turn of the millennium.
Small wonder that a nation that shits itself at the mere mention of terrorism isn't capable of dealing with the problem, I suppose...

But over the last decade France alone has lost far more to terror than the US

The last decade?
Go back to the three thousand you lost in 2001 rather than moving the goalposts.

The last decade gives a better view than since the turn of the century.
If you just look at the last 5 years our edge is even greater.

I see you now claim N Korea , any place where they hate Americans.

ShadesDecadent -> RE: London Underground blast is terror incident (9/15/2017 12:40:35 PM)

America wins. But the British: I never exclude the Irish troubles. You could of course cite domestic terrorism too, and gun deaths, and not need to argue against the goal posts being moved. But I suspect you already know all of that.

But I find some of the Americans, indeed even some of the British, keen to doom a skin colour or religion, transgenders etc.

They shouldn't blind themselves to the real enemy.
Are you still having attacks in N Ireland? I hadn't heard about that.

3,000 dead because Bush sat on his hands and nobody downed three airliners.
The last decade only looks good next to the decade before.

And more because Clinton refused to accept Bin Lauden the 3 times he was offered him.
Nobody knew there was an attack until the planes where crashing into the buildings.
We were on total peacetime standing so there were only 3 fighter in the air over the East coast area.
But I guess you think that any airliner that isn't exactly where it should be should be shot down.
The last decade still gives a better view of the current situation.

Clinton wouldn't have sat staring blankly at a children's book for ten minutes while he had a job to do.

Look folks...it isn't important how many who have lost over the last however many years. Shame on you for even thinking such things are important.

What IS important is that this scourge of terrorism is just f&%king wrong.

I have only just become aware that London has been bombed again by some fanatic who is hell-bent on remaking the world according to Garp. It's senseless, [>:] it's disgusting[sm=anger.gif]

Didn't the Orange Tango take to the twitters and gloat. But no need to condemn a religion or skin colour.

According to a documentary I recently watched, Bush is actually responsible for ISIS, had he ordered Zarqawi killed when he had the chance there would be no ISIS, he didnt cuz he wanted to invade Iraq so badly.. had he taken Zarqawi out when he could have, there would have been no ISIS & no beheadings as Zarqawi started the whole beheading thing.. even Bin Laden disliked Zarqawi & his violent & extremist ways... So the US has that POS Bush to thank for that..

ShadesDecadent -> RE: London Underground blast is terror incident (9/15/2017 1:14:46 PM)

It rumbles and will not go quietly into the night, it may well yet erupt again. It quietly simmers for the now.

I a Tim (catholic) married a Hun (protestant) a long time ago, before we parted ways over a decade ago.

The UK, particularly England, is ramping up nationalism - that never ends well.

The last decade doesn't count because it shows that we are taking control and Europe is losing it so it doesn't
fit your anti-American view.

RLeeQ The whore of Babylon "claimed" no such thing. Why would you say such a thing?

Then what did you mean trying to tell us that when in the US terrorism has dropped the Europeans are
doing better when their loss to terror is going up. Where you trying to say that we should copy them
or were you just being snarky?

Real0ne knows don't you?

Strange! A singular, unique, concerted effort would be my first observation..what was yours I am curious?

My second would be the "Patriot Act" an immense document written long before the towers fell.

No, the "Patriot Act" was passed in response to the towers falling. Bush was trashed for signing
it, Clinton would have been praised for doing so.

I agree a organized effort is needed, that is the reason we have homeland security.
Before 9/11 intelligence organization couldn't share information, particularly with the FBI.
We had all the information needed to see what was up, but each organization had a piece which by itself
was meaningless. We have gone a long way toward fixing that, apparently Europe hasn't.
Another problem we had, and have not fixed is our obsession with being the "nice" guys.
You can't beat people who murder children by being nice.
The British long ago established an approach. Places that want to be our friends get all the help we can give
them. Those who want to be our enemies get bombs. Those in between get help depending on how friendly they want to be.
When the British used this approach it worked, but they too have caught the "nice guy" virus.

This was clearly meant to do a lot more damage than it did, more fast fizzle than actual explosion.
Future attacks will get it better and the fatality count will go up.

Wanna bet it was home made triacetone triperoxide?
That's one of their most common explosives. the good news is that if you don't have decent lab technique, it either fizzles or it blows the factory and all the little jihadists straight to hell. You have to have a nice touch to make the stuff.

I like B better.

I've handle and worked with several members of that chemical family (gear on and asshole tightly puckered)
