What a great story! But I think it's ridiculous that the police doesn't have a department who can do this in the first place!

The police should start a whole white hacking department to crack cases like this !

This is a growing problem worldwide. Sadly there are way more badly behaving males online than there are white hat hackers to turn to. For most girls/women the only option is to change phones and all online accounts. All the big ISPs give lip-service to disapproving such harassing behavior, but take little action to stop it.
It's just one more of the many things that is eventually going to make the Internet unusable.
