First sitting VP in history to attend an anti-abortion rally.

You know, if Trump asked a VP to send his regards to like anything causes that is important to a left leaning. It would be criticized as insincere since Trump did not personally respect the event enough to give his presence.

Trump told him to go to the rally.
And everyone who voted for Trump also voted for Pence.

So fact is, Trump did not show up and was not there.

Pence is Pence, we all know he wants to ban abortion but he has no power to.

Greta, you are from outer space.
The Vice President isn't totally powerless, and Trump isn't all-powerful.

Trump doesn't actually want anything except success, sex, applause and respect he hasn't earned.
Even if he supports punishing women who seek abortions simply because he knows it's what his drooling base wants to hear, it doesn't mean he isn't actually supporting it.

You give me the impression of someone really tying themselves into knots trying to justify mindless support of absolutely everything Trump does.
I have openly admitted that Hillary had her flaws... other people on this board dismissively admit that Trump has flaws (or just pull a 'but Hillary).
You are the only one who feels it is absolutely necessary to show unwavering support at all times.
Is this something people do in Singapore?

The one person who pro-anti-abortion all his life was Pence. I am pretty sure it wasn't Trump who planted the idea into Pence head to go to the rally. More like he wanted to use his VP status to influence and go the Rally and asked Trump Permission if he could mention Trump support as well.

That's a total different thing. Anti-Abortion is a Republican stance all along and there are certain things that are hallmark of GOP that Trump needs to support to be part of their party.

VP technically doesn't do anything. I personally think it's a travesty when people fail to vote for a President because they hate their VP. That's happened with McCain and Sarah Palin. Whereas I still think McCain would have made a Good President. Although Palin was really not ready for the VP role.

The media has openly advertised that Trump has been pro-life ALL his life. And supported pro-life causes. Even the Far Right anti-abortionists were calling Trump out for being a fake, as he supported pro-life for so long.

So to conclude Trump really wants women punished for aborting babies. Is just not logical. As the only time in Trump's life he is anti-abortion is when he was running for Primaries.

Trump is a strategic person. And unfortunately to win a GOP Primary, being anti-abortion helps! See how GWB was happily promising to ban abortion when going up against Al Gore and he got voted in! (I actually wanted Al Gore as President back then, but his wife was such a "Parental advisory sticker", "rock music is satanic" fundie christian bitch! I reckon it's her fault that he lost.)

Pro-life is another word for anti-abortion.
You mean to say 'pro-choice'.
And what you are saying here is exactly my point.

As I said, it doesn't matter what his 'true values' are when he is obviously willing to betray them for the sake of 'winning'.

Okay, so you are on the camp of "Vote for a woman just because she is a woman!"

Got your message!

that, AND an inability to understand your point.

Thanks for correcting that.
I always get pro-life and pro-choice mix up. I don't really like the word "pro-choice". But thanks for getting the point.

I usually say, "I am pro-abortion". And I AM pro-abortion. Because in some ways, I will frown about it if due to some religious beliefs, the person decides to birth the child anyway, and then shower the child with hate for life, I think that child is better off dead.

I felt hesitation from Trump on the abortion issue many times. The things he doesn't really believe in, he is not very good at pretending to like it.

But Hillary....., that woman can seriously..., change her super core position. She used to be against gay marriage ya know, like strongly against it! But as the tide has changed and it looks more favourable to support gay marriage, so her position changed. She has been in the same party for a long time and she has never kept a solid position on anything. She swings where the tide goes.

But Trump is different. As a businessman who is free to say whatever he wants. He says all his yadayada. Which at this point, I believe are his core beliefs.

When he decided to run for President. He needs to make a decision on which party to join. He decided on Republican and he knew he has to compromise with them on some stances they disagree on. Abortion is one of those. Because he knows he can just lipsync he is pro-life. But not take any concrete actions to ban abortion, as that would be the least important issue facing America.

If he was as long as Hillary in their respective parties, you'd see a more consistency to Trump than Hillary.

53% of white women of the entire election voted for Trump. And 43% of minority women of the whole election voted for Trump.

No. 53% of white women voters voted for Trump. 43% of women (all women) voters voted for Trump. If it was an even number of white women and non-white women voters, then 33% of non-white women voters voted for Trump. I think white women voters were probably a lot more than half the total number of women who voted, making Trump's support among non-white woman voters even smaller than 33%.

Okay, I get it, so 43% of women OVERALL voted for Trump. That is still a very high number. Only 50% of that are white. So that's still alot of minorities. It's quite balance.

For republicans, pro-life is a total misnomer. They are pro birth. Once out of the whom, everybody including the child, is...on his own.

Now to take all of the way, that child (mom & dad too) will make a profit for themselves or somebody else otherwise, they can just go to jail or die.
