Bizarre argument. If I were scan your posts of the last month, would I find you only commenting on things that you'd actively got involved in sorting out? You'd have kept quiet about Mr Kim's warmongering because you'd never been to N Korea to help stop him, for instance? Exactly how much action, and of what kind, would you think it necessary to take before you were to question anything that Trump does?

Well, the day Harvey hit Texas I went to the lumberyard in town and filled my trailer with plywood and fiberglass roofing shingles and nails, etc.
Then I went by the grocers and bought all the bottled water I could fit in the bed of my truck and a bunch of food that didn't require refrigeration or cooking.
Then I stopped by the gas station and topped off the truck's bed tank and saddle tanks, And left MI for the Houston area.
I thought of something else on the way down and bought up some spare clothes and toilet paper.

I have two cousins, brothers who live next door to one another with their families in Sugarland, TX.
One is 70, the other is 66, so we weren't working as fast as we once did, but we finished re-roofing both of their houses yesterday, and both carports today.

Tomorrow I am heading back up to the Little Rock area to try to find another load of supplies, then I will drive back down to Naples, Fl to help another cousin who is 80 to re-roof her house. I'd have gone to help her first, but Harvey hit Texas before Irma hit Florida.
I'll mostly be working alone at her place, so I am guessing four to six more days before I can head home.
In the meantime I have been sleeping in my truck and using a jerry-rigged solar camp shower. We only just got the kitchens useable yesterday so I've had 2 hot meals since I left home.

Maybe I could do more, but at 65 I think I am doing my share.

I can't get to Puerto Rico, but I did send in a $1000 donation to a relief fund down there.


What have you done?

Lots of breaks to take a drink and get out of the sun for a moment. Leaves time to post.

Obama couldn't take a pee without the right for years denigrated and tried to demonize him, that liberal dem Muslim, Kenyan in the white house who hates America.

What you read and hear now about Trump, he brought on himself from all of his prior behavior. Trump just doesn't stop showing he doesn't fucking care, PR is not on his radar and then the very first thing from him directly implies that a few more $$ in shipping is more important than a life and death storm hitting our yes our little island.

The man is a complete disaster.

To be fair I've mostly been helping family, but we have been sharing food and water I brought down with their neighbors, and the materials we had left I gave to my cousin's next door neighbor who also lost part of his roof. I really overbought, but I knew nothing would be available locally.
First time I helped with after-hurricane repairs I think I was only four or five, seems like every few years since I have ended up helping someone get their homes back. Though you'd think that as much as I have done this I'd have thought to bring more than one ladder down with me. I just assumed that most homeowners have one. There sure aren't any to buy down here. Should have brought at least three. Live and learn, we managed with one anyway.
