Id like some advice please. I have an interest in nettles being used for discipline.

Ive looked it up but cant really find any personal experiences. Id like to her of your personal experiences using nettles for example how do stinging nettles alter the effect of a caning. Has any one experienced having nettles put in their underwear?

I know this is the wrong time for nettles at the moment - well certainly in the uk- but its something id like to do in the future. Has anyone ever had a sever reaction.

Any more ideas as to what/how I can use nettles in a punishment scene

Make sure you're parnters not allergic to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am -highly- allergic and swell up and hurt for days and days. It's beyond "punishment' into "I'm broken and unusable for a week"

So, yeah, make sure he/she doesn't have an allegry to the damn things.

(they grew at my jr. high. Our gym teacher made us run a course that went practically through them. I told her I was allergic. She said so what. I ended up in the nurses office with my legs swelled up like sausages. grr)

The dreaded Nettle, The other side of the coin. . .
After reading all this Horror about Nettle and knowing a certain
Dominants penchant for the nasty weed, my turn came. A quick show
and tell came first so I was able to identify it, then a bit of it was placed
in my hand as I was told to rub it a bit.
Hummmm, nothing. Yup absolutely nothing.
I figured it was just my calloused hands after reading everyones nightmares
with the weed, of course the slight disapointment on his face had me considering
all kinds of reasons to explain the *nothing*.
5 minutes later still nothing, 15? . . nothing.
Then, later the same day I'm called to come see something,
as I find him with this HUGE bundle of Nettle that seemed to barely fit in his hand
as I hear something to the effect of, bend over there and drop um.
Yikes . . . . .
Course now I've got myself believing that callouses saved me earlier but the skin on
My Ass isn't quite so thickened then the first swat hit. hee heee, it tickled.

the second tickled too as did the rest. I couldn't help it but I laughed out loud.
(again, sorry to disappoint)

I can say that one tiny spot on my thigh got a weeeeee bit warm but that was it.
I guess I'm proof that some of us have little to no reaction to the stuff.

Besides making sure your partner is not allergic, be aware that there are several different types of nettle and that one of them, which does grow in the UK, is significantly stronger than those commonly found here in the US. You may end up inflicting a great deal more than discomfort with this particular plant. It has been known to cause scars.

I wish I knew which variety it was. I'd suggest talking to a horticulturist about nettles before going out and gathering them up for play.

Now, that said, nettles CAN be great fun! A leafy sprig, just drawn lightly across the skin, can evoke strong sensations, indeed! Placed in underwear, even better.

I have used nettles, but not as a prep for caning. Interesting idea. I'll have to look into that.

I agree, except in the US these are pretty much a distinction without a difference.....However; in Java (whats it called now? Micronesia?) there is a stinging nettle that will put you in agony for years.......several others as well but less potent.

However; all Mentha (mints) which is the family of nettle are pretty much non-deadly to humans, but then so is sawing off your arm and getting proper medical attention after the fact................

once again go with the keeper of the archives (proudsub's) recommendations.....this type of thread has been done nearly as much as why cant dom/domme slave/sub be honest?

Hell I couldn't nettle someone even if they begged me too....not without wearing half inch asbestos laced fire gloves LOL Man those things screw me up. I got into some on a river bank once and I couldn't walk right for about 2 days.

The thought of putthing them in your underwear blows my mind. You must have a serious tollerance to that kind of toxin because that would probably be fatal (or I would wish it had been) to me.

Well, thats one of the problems with nettle........locality and environment........those wet, shady fuckwads down by the river are the Mother of All Bitches........

They burn the shit outta me too but good for my mild arthritis. So, not only do you have to test reaction, you have to retest when you get them from a different area........

Can't get wet ones? Tell your sub, wash yourself and come to me..........LMAO.
