Why? What difference does it make that millions of people believe a story, and have done throughout history, if it's still just a story?
Millions of people believed in the Flat Earth fable for millennia. That doesn't make it true. It didn't make it 'true' at the time when this particular notion was popular either. The Flat Earth fable was wrong, always wrong and always will be wrong, a fallacy forever.
Truth is not meant to be determined by a popularity contest.
So that leaves me still waiting for a single cogent or persuasive reason why this woman's beliefs are any more or less delusional than V-P Pence's ... it looks like I will be settling in for a long wait
