Okay, I broke down and bought (with the help of my brother in law who is trying to make up for being a complete dick to my sister) a new computer, the first one I have not built since 1998. However, there are a few issues, both in windows 10 and in the proprietary hardware of the system itself. Windows 10 1) Windows keeps asking me if I really want to allow certain games to make changes to the system. 2) Windows keeps popping up 'suggestions' for software and apps based on what I installed or downloaded. Lenovo hardware 1) the mother board has 10 SATA connections. 2) the power is distributed through the mother board and not a bunch of extra tails coming out of the power supply. a) while this fact eliminates shit tons of loose wiring floating around inside the case, it does not allow for more drives to be connected unless: 3) to add drives inside the case, you have to buy a pigtail that plugs into the mother board so you have power to the new drives, the pig tail is $90.00! 4) the mounting area for the new drives has a plastic retention bar over the bays, and the bar has two plastic bars extending into the open slots, a different bar is $60.00 Now the easy solution is to remove the locking bar, however if there is no bar over the drive bays, you void the hardware warranty on the entire system.
