I've noticed in the last couple months a hell of a lot of issues in the core functionality of collarspace. These include:
* When I view someone's profile, suddenly I'm logged in randomly as another user. Their name is in the top-right and if they have new messages, New Messages is in red.
* https:// no longer works and all my bookmarks/URL autocomplete are broken.
* I can't reply to messages, possibly for the above reason because the send message URL is https. I can, however, send messages from the profile page, but I don't know if anyone can reply to me.
* Attaching pictures almost never works.
* Profiles randomly disappear and are unsearchable. It's happened often enough that I don't think it's just people deleting themselves.
* The site randomly goes offline for 4-5 minutes at a time on an almost daily basis.

Am I the only one noticing these things? Does any mod care to comment? I've been very loyal to this site under a variety of profiles for many years because it's the only site that consistently works for meeting people. In terms of finding BDSM-interested singles, I honestly don't know what I'd do without it.

There are plenty of software engineers and web developers into BDSM. At parties and munches I've been to it seems to be the overwhelmingly most common demographic. I'm sure if the owner of this site is overwhelmed, enthusiastic help would be available. Heck, I know a thing or two and would be happy to help debug pro bono if it would improve the quality of the site.

Just don't let the site slowly degrade into a trainwreck, please? It's too valuable to go down just because the few people who maintain it are overworked.

I no longer can answer mail either. I do a search for the person's name and answer there. Had a few profiles not found. I don't answer mail except for a ex kink partner but I will read profiles from those that write. A few recently have not shown in results. Could be they were scammers or spammers so the site or they themselves delete the profiles. Some trolls get banned so I believe their profile is deleted. Have seen a few other people say when signing in they get another's person profile. As for support I wrote a month or two ago. Never heard back.

I have had the same problem since Friday. I won't complain though as it's a free site and I've never paid a penny to it's upkeep.

You can still send email to people. View their profile from the main page and use the "send a quick note" option to send an email.

There are probably are no real people moderating or running this website. They just left it up online and moved on their lives years ago.

a handful of times my "messages" button has indicated I have mail, but when I go there, there is nothing there. sometimes its the same with the "who's viewing me" link.

With the "who's viewing me" link I think it includes people you have blocked, so when you click on it you won't see anything if some blockee has triggered it. That's my theory anyway.
