The trumptooners prefer to believe that any criticism of their leader has to be a partisan thing, because then there's no truth to it and they can keep denying that he's a crooked, incompetent, bonde idle drama queen with thinner skin than an ameoba and whose only interest in running the country involbves ploughing tax money into his flailing companies. Denial of this has led to the whole of the left and most of the right (including a substantial chunk of the Republican party) being dismissed as leftist partisans, which is hilarious when the excuses are being made for a "politician" who's the very model of a modern RINO.
(It's actually quite cute on that level, like a primary school kid insisting that their dad is too an astronaut.)
