I am not in total disagreement, there are many transactions that deserve no tax code subsidy. Why should the childless subsidize the child bearing ? Why should labor taxes subsidize investment capital ? Why should cults based on religious beliefs...be tax free and their revenue tax deductible ? Most are emotional or greed and hardly pragmatic. Some counties (at least a few) have lower rates than the US and allows no deductions at all.
