FR So bannon is now poison(well in mnoho, he always has been) And trump is a two time loser for backing the wrong candidates. How many repubs have resigned or announced retirement.?? Mo Brooks is out today with news that he has prostate cancer. Poor bugger, (I wouldnt wish that on anyone.) If they manage to get the tax bill thru before christmas, nothing changes But.... january comes quickly and all the dems who have won lately will take their seats. while the vote was close (moore is counting on god to find his way) it shows people are engaged. or is that enraged? the dems need to get their asses sorted out. pronto, or they will lose 18 as well.

Unless I am mistaken the black vote was only 30 percent of the electorate. That means to win Jones garnered a fair portion of white votes. Not a majority of white votes to be sure but I would guess it has been some years since a Democrat was supported as in this election. Butch

I feel on our political scene both parties are missing a chance to dominate because of their unreasonable insistence to toe the party line. Senator Jones could cement his position for years to come if he would only represent the people and not his party. To me a great platform would be to serve the best interests of the electorate no matter where it leads. I believe this can be done and still keep the values of the party. I just do not understand the Democrats. All they need to do is give alternatives that serve the people but address their fears. Instead all they do is obstruct without providing a path for the people that they can follow and understand. Sure there are a few Democrats with ideas but there is no concerted effort to present a plan to the public. The Republicans did exactly the same thing under Obama and when they regained power they are lost. I'm afraid the Democrats are heading down the same path. Butch

Voter turnout for this special election was higher than expected. But this just shows that Democrats need to get solid candidates in every race around the country.

Not really, the ooze endorsed moore, and after turning their back on him, the right endorsed him too(no, not all of them I know) Unless there is a recount and after the conspiracies are employed and debunked, or proven correct. No, really? I hadnt noticed both sides are full of it, as are most institutions, and society as a whole... Its largely a male thing it appears, religion, politics, entertainment, workplace, social place... where doesnt it happen? to either sex? How many people do you think have never been sexually harassed by someone?

It's depressing that people are actually willing to vote for people like Moore and Trump in the first place. Or that there are people who don't think it's humiliating to have people like that representing them. Even if people voted for Jones, you still have stupid assholes hoping he'll build the wall. The fact that Trump and Moore are this close to being normal is truly horrifying.
