Conservative news outlet called Alabama race for Moore
http://thehill.com/homenews/media/365040-conservative-news-outlet-called-alabama-race-for-moore

Conservative news outlet One America News Network (OANN) appears to have erroneously called Tuesday night's Senate race in Alabama for Roy Moore (R), who lost the special election to Doug Jones (D) by more than 20,000 votes.

A clip of the news network's broadcast obtained by The Wrap shows OANN airing a graphic declaring Moore the victor while an off-camera announcer says that the network is calling the race based on "unofficial polling."

“We have some breaking news for you that we want to announce. Our unofficial polling shows Senate candidate Roy Moore sweeping the election right now in Alabama by a large margin,” the host says in the video.

The announcer goes on to say that the network's CEO Robert Herring congratulates Moore on running a "fine campaign."

“Now the president of One America News Robert Herring would like to congratulate Moore on the fine campaign that he and his wife have run. Speaking with campaign representatives, we are being told that there are strong signs the majority of voters have now come out in support of the judge," the host says.

OANN's website also published an article claiming Moore was the victor, which was subsequently taken down upon the judge's defeat, The Wrap reported.

A cached copy of the article reveals the network claimed Moore won "despite attacks from democrats about unverified allegations."

Oh and just in case, OANN uses Discus as its comments method. So you can find conversations about a topic, thru discus, even if the page is scrubbed, the topic, and headline with URL is available to any commenter.

exactly where is the "hypocritical silence?"

your charge presupposes anyone outside of you, like bosco stated, has even heard of the site in question.

I think there was another thread, on here, rather recent that mentioned OANN, but other than that, I've never heard of them.

Give me "The Hill", "The Daily Caller" or "Townhall" any day of the week (although, the "Caller" has gone downhill since Tucker had to leave it).

Peace,

Michael

Announcing a presidential win before the polls had closed worked for Bush jr back in 2000, I suppose...

Yep, it got our oh so impartial [sic] and constitutional [sic] supreme court to appt. Bush. Maybe Moore can find an Alabama court to do the same for him.

I mean one must resort to everything and pursue every avenue especially for power and its 'brothers' corruption and greed.

Probably why the sorry little shitstain hasn't accepted defeat yet: he's hoping the popular vote can be vetoed here as well.

Never heard of OANN. Not a channel my local cable company offers.

No question, but does that make it an inherently more risible source than the blogs, vlogs and twitting spastics that get cited on here as credible sources on the regular?

I don't see blogs as any different from an editorial in a newspaper. They're pretty much all opinion-based interpretations of news, policies, and events.

It is fairly annoying when people here give blogs and editorials too much credit, or regularly post them as part of an argument in support or against any given topic, because had I cared to comment on that blog, I could do so there. When I'm here, I'd rather engage with the people here, and their direct take on whatever subject. So it would be like me quoting Oprah, Janeane Garofalo, or whatever other person I agree with on a matter, on a constant basis. Just annoying. But I'm not that big a sychophant of anyone, and I am capable of forming opinions of my own and then giving word to them.

Assuming shit is always your downfall
MSM is getting blamed for fake news, by RW media and idiots.
One of their own does it, and the silence by RW media is telling.
Denial is not surprising by rwnjs

One America News Network is a relative newcomer
from wiki
One America News Network (abbreviated as OANN), also referred to as One America News (abbreviated as OAN), is an American cable news television channel launched on July 4, 2013 that is owned by Herring Networks, Inc. The network is headquartered in San Diego, California, and operates a news bureau in Washington, D.C.[1] and New York City.

Originally launched with the intention of targeting a conservative and center-right audience,[2][3] OAN states a goal of delivering credible national and international news coverage throughout the day while its prime time political talk shows illustrate a conservative perspective.[4][5][6]

According to the Washington Post, the channel has risen to greater prominence due to its pro-Trump coverage.[7] Robert Herring, Sr., founder and CEO of the network, has ordered producers to promote certain types of content, such as pro-Trump stories, anti-Clinton stories and anti-abortion stories, and minimize stories about Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.[7]

Its not my fault you dont keep up.
Also from Wiki
In November 2017, One America News aired a segment citing a false rumor by an anonymous Twitter account that the Washington Post had offered $1,000 to Roy Moore's accusers.[29][30][31] One America News described the tweet as a "report" and described the tweeter as a "former Secret Service agent and Navy veteran".[29][30] The Twitter account had a history of tweeting falsehoods and conspiracy theories; the Twitter account has also made repeated and inconsistent lies about its identity, including appropriating the identity of a Navy serviceman who died in 2007.[30] After it was revealed that the story was a hoax, One America News did not retract its report.[29]

JVoV -> RE: Hypocritical silence on OANNs fake news. (12/15/2017 7:13:15 PM)

I did read the wiki page on OANN.
I know I don't want my news coming from a Twitter account supposedly owned by a retired Navy officer, especially when the real person died a few years ago.
