I find it interessting that Obama in his budget proposal in 2013 created the chained cpi which was reported then as a cut to social security over time

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2013/04/10/the-ins-and-outs-of-chained-cpi-explained/

is a cut by Republicans in Social Security

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-gop-welfare-medicare-social-security-cuts-20171201-story.html

Not that Republicans will or won't do a cut, I don't know for sure either way since they are politicians and the moods of politicians seem to change all the time. I do know that all my chained CPI raises in the last 2 years have gone to medicade and not into my bank.

BS. Is that why the ACA act was passed on Christmas Eve I believe, without a single republican vote. Did Obama want to compromise ? That would be a NO.

Actually, Obama asked the Republicans to work with the Dems on the ACA, but they refused because they were too busy trying to make sure Obama was a one term pres.

More BS. They never even read the bill. If they praised it, they would have voted for it. But they didn't. Remember Nancy Pelosi. ' We need to sign the bill to know what is in the bill'.

There were dozens of committee hearings. many repub proposals were considered, some passed. Only to then do we see and hear the right demagogue the issue and vote against a bill they just help amend.
