Reason I canceled my trip to London is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for “peanuts,” only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!

So this is Drumps latest post on Twitter.

I am sure that the majority of Americans will know that the decision to move the Embassy from Grosvenor Square to Nine Elms was made before Obama was President. If your current "President" did not know he should have checked his facts before making himself look like a total idiot once again.

Donald Trump has cancelled a visit to Britain next month to open the new US embassy in London, amid fears of mass protests.

So Trump's stated reason collapses under scrutiny, while London's Mayor seems in to be in no doubt that the threat of mass opposition caused the cancellation. I am sure that any open-minded person can decide which of those two is the more credible ....

Amusingly, Bush II set up the plans to move the embassy as it was decided by his ~~keepers~~cabinet that Grosvenor square would be insufficiently secure for an unpopular American president to feel safe.

There's also been talk of a low key state visit, without a lot of media hooplah and making a big deal of the presidential pisspot in order to try to sneak the visit past the protestors without anybody noticing. That won't have suited the man whose flabby orange face is in many dictionaries as a definition of "narcissist", would it?
