An alert goes out to an entire U.S. state that an ICBM will hit in minutes, and during the ENTIRE 38 minutes from the alert, to the announcement it was an error, the President of the United States continues to play golf.

People are terrified, and get NO help, or reassurance from their President.

Instead, he tweets about Michael Wolff. Just in terms of completely failed leadership, he may have even exceeded Bush.

The liberals in Hawaii screwed this up. Trump had nothing to do with it. Get a life;

I have serious problems with Trump and W, both being equally useful idiots but nothing could surpass Bush's photo

<smh>

Yes, his dick waving with KJU has NOTHING to do with the fear and panic created for hawaiians

Lucylastic -> RE: Presidential Leadership (1/14/2018 6:39:35 PM)

He doesn't fully understand what happened in Hawaii yet. (And frankly he doesn't give a shit). Here was a legitimate national crisis (an entire state population thinking they were going to die in the next few minutes), which required competent leadership. There was NONE.

Had Obama still been president. He would have been IMMEDIATELY on TV and Radio (in his home state), reassuring the population.

Lucylastic -> RE: Presidential Leadership (1/14/2018 7:03:37 PM)

does he realise he is the president of hawaii??
he didnt seem to realise he was the president of the virgin islands.

Trump made his first public comments since the false alarm of a ballistic missile heading toward Hawaii, saying he thought it was “terrific” that the state took responsibility for the error.

“That was a state thing but we are going to now get involved with them. I love that they took responsibility. They took total responsibility,” Trump told reporters Sunday.

“But we are going to get involved. Their attitude and their — I think it is terrific. They took responsibility. They made a mistake,” he continued.
When asked what he will do to prevent a similar false alert from taking place, Trump didn’t answer directly but said, “we hope it won’t happen again.

“Part of it is people are on edge, but maybe eventually we will solve the problem so they won’t have to be so on edge,” Trump said.

He added that he will “see what happens with North Korea.”

“We have great talks going on. The Olympics, you know about. A lot of things can happen,” Trump said.

The false alert sparked mass confusion and panic across the state when it was sent Saturday. State officials took nearly 40 minutes to correct the alarm.

Hawaii Gov. David Ige (D) said the false alert was sent when an employee accidentally pushed the wrong button during a shift change.

The White House said that the alert was “purely a state exercise” despite it being revealed to be an accident.

The alert came amid heightened tensions with North Korea. Trump has repeatedly threatened the country since taking office over its nuclear weapons tests.

In turn, North Korea has continued to test missiles and threatened to strike the U.S.

38 mins to announcement there is an error. This is Trump's fault?

Wow! The things people blame Trump for.

Yes he should continue to play golf. There is no emergency. And it was only 38 minutes.

It's not like, it was hours.

38 minutes seem very fast response to announcing it was an error even by my country's efficient standards for a tiny place. Also if you really think about it. It's only 38 minutes. So from the mistake being made, how long would it take for it to be made known to Trump about this and a proper explanation about what is happening. 38 minutes is a damn short time. Did the people who fuck up delay relaying this message to Trump?

But the real question instead of blaming Trump for this, WHO IS INCHARGE of the announcement? And how did such an error occur? A whole department needs to be fired for such a fuck up.

Greta75 -> RE: Presidential Leadership (1/14/2018 9:07:37 PM)

The alert, Hawaii Gov. David Ige told CNN, was due to someone pushing the "wrong button."

Ige said the incorrect alert, "was a mistake made during a standard procedure at the change over of a shift and an employee pushed the wrong button."

But the incorrect alert, the length of time it took to officially correct that alert, and whether federal, state and local authorities would be prepared in the event of a real missile threat has members of Congress and other government officials demanding answers and change. Ige will brief Hawaii's congressional delegation Saturday afternoon.

The media is incredible. This sounds like a liberal camp mistake. THEIR employees fucked up and push the wrong button and now they wanna blame Trump for playing golf WHILE they fucking pushed the wrong button! AS IF Trump is suppose to have psychic powers and know this was gonna happen.

Love how they push the blame to Trump.

How sad are the lefties. I would say the first person who should assure Hawaii immediately is THEIR GOVERNOR! How come he gets no blame? Is it because he is a liberal?

Yes he should - indefinitely, and far out of reach of any big big nuclear button for his big big hand.

Agreed.
My mother was in hospital for the early part of last year. Her favourite question when my Dad and I used to visit was "What has Trump done NOW" At least the comedy of errors keeps us laughing over here.
