I am thrilled to see Nancy Pelosi step down. She has spent her entire career as a partisan, dedicated to keeping her party in power. She cares nothing for the legislation she has supported over the years, other than she felt, if passed it would shore up her party's power. She would vote in a DeSantis-style Christian theocracy, if she thought it would empower democrats.

Unfortunately, she is no better than Mitch McConnell, or Newt Gingrich. (Two of the most destructive forces to American democracy in the last 50 years)

No, I don't blame her as the cause of the problems of American politics. Just one of the worst symptoms.

The founding fathers never intended the Speaker of the House to be a partisan position. Look who is likely to replace her. Kevin McCarthy. Not only a blind, mindless partisan, but a special mindless partisan, whose partisanship is only designed to preserve power for HIMSELF.

The bullshit continues.

Newt helped the GOP take the House for the first time in 40 years, with the Contract To America. That's huge. Now, it's actually in play every 2 years. He also helped give us a balanced budget, which is also huge.

Of course, he takes more credit for each of those than he's due, but the Speaker almost has to be a showman.

Turtle is just evil. And unlike Newt, McConnell won't pass anything that a Democrat could take credit for. His goal was to make Obama a one term President. Luckily that failed. I wasn't surprised by McConnell winning re-election against McGrath. I kinda gave up on that election when she won the primary. I donated to Booker, her opponent.

Nancy Pelosi (who isn't retiring from the House) has been the face of the "Democrat" party forever, amassing a $120 million fortune as a typical career life-long politician

In other news, "Democrat" useful idiots are crowing because Pelosi released the private tax information of a political opponent, which proves that he LOST money serving the citizens of this once great country

Pelosi's replacement is also a hack politician and a radical so nothing is changing over there. Business as usual, passing laws so politicians can profit while paying lip service to their crumbling war zone districts

I don't knpw how to crow. But tax returns dont prove a loss, only that the taxpayer is claiming a loss.

Unless Trump did them in Sharpie, then we know they're legit. Trollolol.

That definitely is true. Describes Kevin McCarthy to a "T".

Fast reply -

Q: How did you "Democrats" prove your distaste for someone like Pelosi
A: You anointed her your queen without contest or debate AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN

I have no idea what you are talking about. Democrats LOVE your queen, Pelosi. Always have. Always will.
What "distaste" are you talking about?

Laughter is good for the soul :)

I will try to explain one more time my position.

For CLARITY

1. I never complained about anything. Rather, I pointed out that Republicans were neither interested or capable of governing. Their interest was solely to acquire money and power by positioning themselves to be seen on TV the most "owning the libs" and firing up the base.

2. I have no objection to anyone opposing McCarthy. He is a sniveling political hack who is incapable of leading anything. I pointed out that the problem was NOT the opposition to him. Rather, the problem is that they should have agreed on a candidate BEFORE voting. There is a time to debate, and a time to vote. They used the voting time (and therefore the American People's time) to debate. As a result, part of our government had to shut down while they figured it out. I pointed out this was horribly poor leadership.

3. I will say that the selection of Speaker should NEVER be a partisan affair. Political parties should have FAR less money and influence. I would support a constitutional amendment banning the GOP/Gingrich/Pay-to-play system. You should watch The Swamp.

4. The House doesn't realize it, but the best candidate for Speaker of the House is me. I would convert the House from lobbyist-infested partisan sewer it is now, to an incredible component of the US government capable of passing the most positively impactful bills of our life time.

We had bills that broke up Big Tech. We were waiting for them to come to the floor.

Then, on the dip, Paul Pelosi bought a bunch of those stocks.

They never came to the floor…

Oh. That'll get Mitch McConnell's vote in the Senate. Uh huh.

But any law preventing members of Congress from trading stocks won't stop their family members. So it's pretty much useless. If it ever gets passed. And signed into law.

So.... Whatever happened to the Paul Pelosi hammer case. Remember, his gay prostitute lover attacked him with a hammer, but they hilariously tried to blame "the Republicans'

Wait, what's that? The VIDEO is coming out?

Oh, there's a right-wing media attempt to unlink the Pelosi attacker to Republicans. I didn't know that. They're either telling the truth OR they are really afraid of what may actually come out.

What's actually being released is the bodycam footage from cops that went to the scene. Because the press filed in court to get it released.

Not a video of some old guy with a male prostitute.

From the TMZ article Bosco posted. I read it, and realize that an old woman may try anything within her faith after her husband is attacked like that. A different person may burn sage all around. Not that big a deal to me. And only kinda crazy. Although, she has an excuse to go kinda crazy at home.

It is interesting how the right wing is teeing up on Pelosi. She has been insider trading for decades. Democrats have brought up bans on insider trading since the 1970's. All have been blocked by Republicans.

They should really call it The TRUMP Act

Or maybe The Richard Burr ACT

Nahhh

Let's call it the Tom Price ACT
