What's missing, and Hawley may be the right one to show it, is any evidence that Congress was alerted to DOJ's actions. If the US Attorney had such damning evidence, they could prosecute anyway.

We all know that Pelosi has been Insider trading for years! I have no idea, why everyone is treating this as news. So was almost every Republican Congressman, every cabinet member of the Trump Administration, and dozens of other house reps and senators.

SO???

This thread is about me glad to see her gone. Unfortunately most of those Congressmen are still in office

Knowing something and having a paper trail to prove it are entirely different things. We can know that KJU is just Hillary with a black wig, but is there proof?

What we have is Hawley running his mouth, in an attempt to use Pelosi as a way to make the Dems look bad. Like no Republicans ever did any of that stuff. Uh huh. It's more of the same. Meaning nothing real gets done.

The OP has been discussed, and now the thread has evolved, as the conversation has. Pelosi was the Speaker we deserved, and has been a reflection of us as a people. McCarthy doesn't seem much different. But there is plenty of time for him to become the Speaker we need. Not likely, so hopefully Dems can take back the House, then Jefferies can.

Not sure what Nancy Pelosi has to do with defunding the police. She, like most Congressional Democrats, have not supported that movement at all. And this topic does need to be discussed, because I don't think most people understand what the slogan has evolved to mean.

Paul Pelosi isn't a political person. The attack upon him was horrible. It would be horrible if his attacker was a gay prostitute. It would horrible if his attacker was a priest. Being hit in the head with a hammer is just pretty damn horrible. If the attack was politically motivated in any way, then there will be extra charges, possibly federal. And I hope that nothing like that ever happens again. But it probably will. The level of political animosity we now have, combined with modern technology is a powder keg. And the talking heads and dark overlords get paid to keep stirring the pot.

Video - even the far left corporate propaganda rag MSNBC agrees - hag Pelosi precedent is responsible for partisan committee assignments

quote:

MSNBC host Ari Melber noted Thursday that House Democrats started the battle over committee membership by booting Republicans from committee assignments, citing Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s ejection from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi barred Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana from serving on the Jan. 6 Select Committee, prompting a Republican boycott of the panel. House Democrats also voted to strip Republican Reps. Paul Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene of their committee assignments in the 117th Congress.

JVoV -> RE: Nancy Pelosi - The end of an error (2/3/2023 1:40:14 PM)

It would make sense that the majority party have the majority of seats on any committee, and since the majority recently changed, some Dems will have to make room for Republican members.
