Strategically, Trump would do better if he never debated anyone. Why give them the chance to make him look bad while making themselves look better, in front of an audience that might be impartial?
Plus, Trump doesn't have to sell himself to the base again. They know what he is and what he's done in office. Hailey is an untested variable.

Trump has nothing to gain from debating any of the Republican candidates. Doing so might make them seem like worthy opponents, capable of rational thought.

Is there much difference between any of the Republican candidates in policy or agenda? Or is it just a matter of how they'd get things done?

Realistically, debating other candidates within the party could change the eventual campaign platform and its nuances, pushing the eventual nominee in a direction more to the right or left than what they went in as. That might be good for the voters, but Trump can just be the heckler on the sidelines, doing as he pleases, and presenting whatever platform he wants, without much outside influence. Niiki might water down his level of hate. Can't have that.

She could still do it!!!!

45% of the country identifies as Independent 80% of independents like her! Would go up to 95% IMO if she ran.

She gets anywhere from 20% - 40% of the Republican vote (depending on the state)

She gets around 33% of the Dem vote Vs Biden

Be more specific and hope they're not so damn old too. But I really don't think a viable independent candidate stands a chance. Really, they would just split the vote and be a spoiler, giving the win to the opponent they'd be least likely to vote for.

Haley would get more votes from never-Trumper Republicans than any true Democrats. Right now, we need to identify actual battleground states and hope the candidate we want most ton win, out of the choices we're given, are doing the same.

I don't see Florida going blue, but Biden will still get my vote. Unless Oprah jumps in the race, though that seems rather unlikely.

There are more Democrats that would vote for Haley as an Independent than you think.

Well, she gave up since last post. I hate her dumb-ass. She denies the Civil War was over slavery. She wants to raise the SS age. Good fucking riddance.

Ummm no.... She does NOT deny the Civil War was over slavery. She was caught off guard with a reporter question about the Civil War and instinctively wanted to appease low information, ill-informed Republican primary voters, so she gave a completely stupid and non-sensical answer that they would lap up like catnip.

BTW: She has spewed a plethora of rightwing nonsense as Governor of South Carolina. (Trying to appease her voters. FROM SOUTH CAROLINA!) South Carolina Republican voters have no understanding of how government works, or how anything works, they believe Fox News, Social Media, and now and in particular Donald Trump.

She has since apologized for her stupid comments and has said unequivocally that the Civil War was about slavery. She even poked fun at herself on her SNL appearance on it.

Hate her dumb ass all you want, but she was our only hope of having strong leadership in the White House.

Nikki Haley gave an answer to a question being asked. At that moment, she had the opportunity to educate voters and to tell the absolute truth, how she sees it. In that moment, she had the opportunity to earn my respect and my vote. She didn't.

Anything other than the actual answer she gave at the time is an excuse.

That's your opinion. She had an opportunity to answer the question with some integrity. She blew it.

She is still a better candidate than Trump or Biden.

My opinion? Nah. Most people learn on early childhood what an excuse is, but when you know that you've done your best and given your best on any given day, there is no need for an excuse. Or it just doesn't matter anyway, because it's too damn late to do anything about it.
Haley was ridiculed on social media and in the real media for that answer. Going on SNL to poke run at herself may have shown she had a good sense of humor, but it also showed that she deeply regrets making such a huge mistake. Ok, that she regrets anything would be my opinion, since I don't know it to be fact.

Any candidate for the highest office in the land is under intense media scrutiny. As long as people talk about Trump, there will be people that mention the whole grab em by the pussy thing. The History Channel will probably have it in documentaries about him 50 years from now.

The word "better" generally means someon is giving an opinion. Since Nikki Haley is no longer a candidate for president at all, it's wrong though. But I stead of focusing on that, what would actually make her a better candidate? Her fundraising skills don't do that. She doesn't have the experience of the other two, who have both actually been president, plus they're old af. Ah, age. Yup, she's younger and less likely to die in office or drool in her Jello. Intelligence? Ive never questioned Biden's intelligence. But is there any factual evidence of Haley being "better" in any way than Trump or Biden? I haven't seen it.

The RNC didn't see it either.
