I believe a fair amount of Republicans have also said that pardons are proof of guilt. But not even a conviction is actual proof of guilt, as weve seen with new DNA evidence clearing those that have been wrongfully convicted. I think the 2026 voters will be paying attention to exactly how their elected officials are spending their time, then vote based on whether they approve of that or not. I think there are more pressing matters that should be dealt with. I don't believr most of the right-wing's accusations, not do I believe J6 was a day of peace. I don't know what sort of evidence you think can be presented to incriminate Milley or anyone else, that hasn't already seen the light of day. I'm not saying that broken laws should be ignored by the DOJ, I just think Congress has more pressing matters. And really, once someone has been pardoned, what's the point of wasting time on a legal proceeding or a hearing anyway? Why spend millions of taxpayer dollars on something just to try to prove a point? Anyone subpoenaed will have a high priced attorney at their side, telling them exactly what they are legally required to answer and what they're not, and how to get out of answering anything they don't think puts them in the best light. So yeah, with everything Trump has promised to do, I think Congress should have their plates full for a while.
