Why do so many of you have such limited profiles, two or three sentences?

Status: offline 		Why? A better question seems to be: "Why does it matter if someone only has 2-3 sentences in their profile?"

After all, no matter how much thought you put into your profile on here, 95 percent of the people are either fakes or horney net geeks and unless you are female, dont expect a nice profile to get you anywhere.

Status: offline 		What i want to know is why you're even wasting your time with the profiles that have only one or two sentences? Give those of us that has a well-thought out profile a chance instead of grouping us all together.

To answer your question, i've been here for little over a month. Most of the e-mails i get make it plain that the sender didn't even bother to look at my profile, let alone take the time to read it. So, it could be these submissives/slaves you speak of don't see any point in writing a thought provoking profile.

That, or they don't believe in long-winded, pointless profiles, when they can just get right to the point in a couple sentences.

Either way, if you don't like it, move on.

You know I had to read your profile to make sure it was not a one liner <grin>. You might want to check, the last paragraph is a different color and  nearly impossible to read.

Perhaps we could ask the same question of Dominants (?).  I've seen enough Dom(me) profiles to know this phenomenon is not exclusive to the submissive/slave.  Just a public service in the interest of equal time.

Status: offline 		I believe I have only 2-3 sentence on my profile...Really, how many sentences does it take to be considered a good profile?.I said what I desired to say, sweet and to the point...anymore IMO is superfluous...If it catches your eye then logically I am sure the Dominant will e-mail me and we can proceed from there.Frankly writing a whole novel about yourself is unnecessary.Each person will always have different questions that are important to them and thus you cannot possibly think of something to write that would cover all contingencies...be well...Tempting

Status: offline 		I have a long winded profile, which is great to weed out people the undesirables.  If someone reads it, they won't reply.  It's a very effective filter.

Status: offline 		I only had  about 4 sentances when i was looking for a Master i put basic info and if somone wanted to know more they could contact me.  I don't think many people like to read novels in profiles.

Status: offline 		It's not a submissive thing.  It's a people thing.  Some don't see the need for a long profile, others like to write in detail about what they think is pertinent information about themselves.  To each his or her own.  I figure they are putting out the information they feel is needed and that they'll attract someone who finds what they've submitted appealing.

In one of my journal entries, i have a section in there of how i won't respond to a Dom that has nothing about himself listed in his profile.  Neither will i respond to a Dom who feels to only send me a one liner as an intro, AND who has nothing about himself in his profile.

Status: offline 		I am not into reading long profiles.  If you can say what needs to be said in 3-4 sentences thats fine with me.  If  a profile is too long I wont read it.  Plus why bother putting evetything in the profile you can get to know them when you guys e-mil back and forth.  My profile is short and too the point and I like it that way.  If someone does not take the time to get to know me b/c of my short profile their losse.
