Does anyone have suggestions for sites that have good information about personal safety for newbies?

I'm thinking of sites that offer info so first meetings are safe, and that anyone you decide to meet from online can be screened to make sure they are not a nutcase.

A long time ago, I found some good sites, but I have lost track of them.
ANy sites with general info for newbies is welcome, too!

Please post them if you could! Thanks.

If you browse through the threads on this site i think you will find a lot of good information for newbies. You can set the days at the top of the forums to 365 so that it will list all the threads.

Here's one of the best threads i've seen for safety in first time meetings:

first meeting guidelines

whether or not Y/you are Dom/Domme, sub or slave the best piece of advise ever given to this slave is: safe calls, Safe Calls SAFE CALLS, meet in public, if possible take a friend, never go to the O/other persons home or hotel room on a first or second meeting no matter what Y/you feel.

make sure to call the person who is going to be Y/your safe call before during and after the meeting. Always and this slave stresses "ALWAYS" have safe calls set up.

even after getting to know a Dominant it is safe to have them because things can and sometimes do change leaving Y/you feeling vulnerable. "JMO"

this slave has had quite a few bad experiences and so she can't stress making sure Y/you have the safe calls, meetings in public, if possible having any and all information ie: a name, address, number (home and work) of the person Y/you are meeting, and when possible take a friend with You.

hope this helps Y/you a bit

stay safe, warm and Happy Holidays

The best tool of all, tho often underrated, is ... common sense.

If you're unsure, don't. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you're uncomfortable, leave. If you feel pressured, leave. If something doesn't add up, there's probably something wrong. Always leave yourself a way out.
