What is love?

It's silence when your words would hurt.

It's patience when your neighbor's curt.

It's deafness when the scandal flows.

It's thoughtfulness for another's woes.

It's promptness when stern duty calls.

It's courage when misfortune falls.

Thank you for sharing that. The "silence when words hurt" part made Me stop and think.
Someone was rather rude to Me on here yesterday and I removed the kind things I had said about her in My journal and replaced them with some rather nasty things. After reading this poem, I discovered silence is much more impressive than words can be, so I removed it. Thanks masokissed, you're a deeply cool girl.

Somethings are only learned by age and other are gifted to us by those few. The ones who come into our lives and change it all. Some think that only happens for a bottom. I for one as I know others will attest that the tops can have that experence also and charrish is all the more. Something is also to be said that silence is always best when it would hurt another... sometimes only hurt from someone you love can bring about change in your life. we all learn one day that even if the words hurt they make you stop and thing about what you are doing and who you are inside. I also know that a friend that can give it to your straight and not sugar coat it is worth they occasional hurt. I do enjoy your words very much tho I thought some comment was in order. keep up the good work.
